I really don't think he'll end up doing it but I'm surprised he's even considering it...

There has been rumblings about this very topic all over the OHL the last two weeks. Personally I dont think they will pull the trigger and trade him. If the Knights have any shot at the Mem Cup this year, they will need Mason. We all saw what kind of team the Knights were before he was returned to them.

Mr. Brown, if the Hunters come a calling asking if the IceDogs if they are interested, please please please say no. The price will be way to high to rent a player for only half a season.

Wow, considering the season they had while he was gone at the beginning (ie: loosing badly) compared to when he came back (turned the team around), what could they possibly get in return to justify it?

Oh well, I dont care.... any OTHER team that gets worse because of a roster change is better for US. :p

Yeah I don't see it happening unless they tank it really soon.

Mason can easily steal a playoff series or two for an average team. If London feels that they are not in the position to make a long playoff run this year (remember Kitchener, Windsor and the Soo all have very deep, strong teams this year), it makes sense to trade Mason away. He won't be back next year, but London is built for next season with their roster. To add players that will further help them next year, plus get Ceasar some more starting goalie time and experience, the move would make sense.

The Knights are not looking for a rent-a-player in return, they are looking for a 3-4 season potential star. As one of the other 19 teams in the league, you only take a chance on Mason if you're going all out, 100% this year.

So, who takes a run at Mason? Certainly not Kitchener, they have a couple of great goalies all ready. The Soo? I dont think they are as good as their early season hype. Oshawa? Now there is a very real possiblity. Windsor? Maybe, but I think they are a year away as well. Niagara? No I dont think the Dogs will ante up the asking price. My bet is that if Mason is moved it will be to the East and to Oshawa.

well this should be interesting... we should really think about this move... if we have a spot and the $$ etc.... could be a good investment....

the price would be way too much. I would wager they would as for Aggy and friensen and picks.

Windsor just got a top-notch goalie in Neuvirth, so they are definitely not in the market. Soo has Gajewski who has performed admirably for them this year, and I doubt they would be looking for anyone. The vicious rumors regarding Kitchener are interesting. A Kitchener-London deal is certainly not anticipated given the bad blood between the two teams, but it would be an interesting situation. Parks could be sent down to Jr. B to get more development time, Unice relegated to a solid #2 backup, and Murray unloaded to another team in the market for an OA goalie. Murray will likely have to go somewhere at the trade deadline anyhow. Too many in Rangerland are worried about Murray's playoff collapse last year, combined with a non-OHL-proven-in-the-playoff tandem that exists.

Guelph and London have been known to make some blockbuster goalie deals in the past, but I don't think they are in the market for a rent-a-goalie this year. I could forseee a trade with either Oshawa or Ottawa. But then again, we do have some good trade relations with London, as per the Beljoke and Foreman deals. My money is on a move to the eastern conference as well, but I think it's still a bidding war.
