Wow, I knew the Leafs were bad this year, but wow.... Down 3-0 early to Phoenix of all teams. At least during intermission they were finally publicly addressing the problem.

Like I've been saying all along, they need to clean house starting from the top down, and stop sticking bandaids on the team.

The weirdest part of it all though, is they can beat Ottawa 3-0, defeat Pittsburg then the Rangers the very next game, then come back and get smoked by sub-par teams.

The only up side for this game was the 3 fights.

Would have been an up side if we WON any of 'em. :(

Actually Bell kinda got the decision in the last one I guess...

Agreed. I wouldn't mind seeing Glen Healey take the GM spot next year. People are starting to say that he might.

Yep. Pull a Fletcher (not Scott - CLIFF) Do a huge trade involving LOTS of guys. Replace the administration, the coaching staff, etc.

It can't hurt. The only have a few places down to go before hitting last in the league.

Get some quality players, LOTS of young talent, and a handful of character guys that the fans can identify with. I just can't identify with this team at all right now. Sundin, McCabe, Tucker, that's about it. Keep Wellwood too.. but even if a current good player needs to go to make a big change, do it. I'd like to see a brand new team / organization on the ice, then go from there.

Nice! Actually i had no idea he was being looked at for GM but then I heard them talking about it on 2nd intermission HNIC on Saturday. I'd love to have Heals as the GM!! Always liked him... plus he was one of the last few standup goalies.

GoDogsGo just posted another thread saying that major changes are going to be happening in Toronto soon, mainly about the GM job. Hopefully, Healy gets the job. Him or Gilmore I think would be good!

I'm hesitant about Gilmour. Althoug he is big buddies with Tie Domi, so maybe he'd bring Domi on as some sort of supporting office role :D

I'd like to see Healy. Actual Heals was close to Tie when they were teammates too. Ok - how about Healy GM, Gilmour Asst. GM, Domi coach.

I know you like Domi, but with respect, Domi isnt qualified for a front office position yet. Just like whats his name in Dallas isnt qualified to be co-GM.... Just because you played the game doesnt mean you can manage the game or manage a team. In time, if he pays his dues, he may become a decent front office person. Heck look at Gretzky. the worlds greatest player yet he hasnt set the planet on fire in Phoenix.

I like the Healy and Gimore idea. As much as I would like to see Domi the leafs coach, because he would probably make them into a physical team, I think he might try to hard on grit and not enough on scoring. We need both!

Oh yah, I dont' think Domi's qualified for a second to be coaching, but I think it would be great to bring him back for the fans, to a visible part of the team. The truth is he's just too hot-headed to coach a team.

Yeah, for the fans that could be good haha. It would actually be kind of interesting to see Domi's reactions on the bench when coaching.
