View Full Version : Would you pay a bit extra for Made in Canada hockey merchandise?

In another thread it was discussed about the fact that our proud Canadian Niagara IceDogs hockey toques are made in China. Some people replied hinting that Canada can't make quality products at the same price. Of course, there's a reason for that - HIGHER WAGES and better working conditions here, but that's beside the point.

If a Canadian company could produce the same merchandise that's currently being shipped from China, but ended up costing a couple bucks more, would you buy it? I realize Canada can NOT compete with China on many things, well, practically everything. But when it comes down to a Canadian hockey toque, I STILL BELEIVE there's enough Canadian pride left that people would pay a couple bucks extra at last for an item like that, if it said 'MADE IN CANADA' on the tag.

PLEASE NO REPLIES TO THIS THREAD - I'm scared it will rip our community apart. That's not the point of it.
