Since Leaf fans have no actual hockey knowledge, and get hosed by management year in and year out but don't even relize it. And just say duh.......wait till next year over and over again (how many years now?).

I hope that IceDogs fans aren't as blind and won't put up with mediocre, below average hockey that leafs fans have for decades!

Leafs Suck!!!!
Go Pens!!!!

We *DO* realize we get hosed by management - UPPER management at least. Well, lower management too, because before the cap was put in the Leafs had one of the highest team salaries for quite awhile and still couldn't manage much.

Go Pens? Uhh oh.... (you guys may actually have a Cup winning team soon)

We're used to it. Remember the 1980's / Harold Ballard?

Don't forget about Punch Imlach along with Ballard took an 8th place club with Sittler and McDonald. They carved up that team rather than rebuilding. That new leaf team went from 8th place to 21st and stayed there for a few years. They never regained any strength and that's when I became a Sabers fan. Now that Briere and Drewry are gone I guess I'll just be a fan of the Icedogs, Falcons and Brock Badgers.

Haha, good call Ref. I've stuck with the Leafs through thick and thin. Well, I was originally an Oilers fan when I started watching NHL hockey (I was born in '72 so Gretzky hit the Oilers right in prime hockey card trading time at recess for me :P Then became a Leaf fan in the 80's simply because I had little choice - my parents upstairs would stamp on the floors (my ceiling) screaming and cheering that lousy team, but soon lost interest in them for quite a few years. Then when Gilmour was brought to the Leafs and Potvin was hot and they had a half decent run in the 92/93 season I became a fan again. I must be a jinx for the Leafs because soon came the Pat Burns / Mike Murphy bottom-feeding era again.

Although those days were still entertaining because they had the likes of Domi, Baumgartner, K.King, Momesso, Kypreos, Clark, etc. So even if they couldn't beat 'em, they could beat 'em up.

Then came Pat Quinn who everyone thought was going to hand us a Cup. But now we're back at the bottom, or near it.

So I've been with 'em through their ups and downs. Looks like we'll have a 'mediocre' Leaf team this year, but the great thing about it is we now have the IceDogs to cheer for as well. And when you're a Leaf fan, you can take all the teams you can get to cheer for in order to boost your chances of cheering a winner. :D

Like the leafs....one of those things i guess...but leaning towards buffalo more and more...now let me explain myself....
Leafs management is so money hungry for themselves that really they dont care about the fans...they know they can sell out any game with anyone on the ice. Year after year...same thing. This is why I am not attending any Leaf games at the ACC anymore....the prices are out of this world for no quality. I sometimes see tyke players on my team making a better effort than these 1million plus players...sad isn't it.

Mind you for me I like to get some value for my money...parking $30 at ACC...beer $12, pizza $7 or more. Now for the seats....any half ok seat in that place $150 and up.... stupid I say...but people keep comming and it's always sold out. If I want to spend $500 on a night of hockey...I can go to Buffalo and that would include front row seats.....drinks, meals and a nights stay....it's not rocket science...

I always will be a leafs fan...I grew up with the leafs and my kids are too...but something has to change to get me back into that arena....will it...well I'm not holding my breath....Soon I'm sure I will attend as a result of pressure from my kids to visit the ACC...but then grandpa can pay for that trip....LOL

So to this end... GO LEAFS GO.... and GO BUFFALO GO too....

I'm saying we have a cup contender but this season I think we can make it deep into the playoffs.

Not with the goaltending we have right now! I can't remember many teams that didn't have a great goalie that went far into the playoffs.

Buffalo goes pretty far and millar isnt a great goalie, edmonton made it to the cup final with an average goalie, in 03-04, philly makes it far with a terrible goalie

No, the best in the league are goalies like Loungo, Kipper, Lundqvist, Giguere, Broduer. Miller falls more in the above average with some potential group.

I would definatly take Miller ahead of Giguere and Kipper. Miller is very consistant and make no mistake he is a VERY large part of Buffalo's success last season. He's still young and growing and is a potential Vezina winner. Being a Leafs fan and seeing him 8 times a year, he won Buffalo a few of those games himself.

If i was building a team at the moment, considering the future and that Miller is constantly improving, yes i would. Kipper has done all he will do and in a few years will be ditched in favor of Irving. Kipper is also playing on one of the strongest defensive teams in the league.

Ya and Miller hasn't been playing on one of the best teams in the nhl for the past 2 seasons.

I never said Buffalo wasn't a strong team, and while there defense core is underrated, Buffalo isn't as relied on there defensive game and will usually try to outscore you in there games while Calgary focus's more on their defense. I'm not saying Kips is a bad goalie at all, I'm simply saying its debatable and at my end i would take Miller, I see him just hitting a stride in his game and just getting stronger as his seasons go on.

Go Flyers (Philadelphia) Go!!!!

Looking forward to the 2007-2008 season for the Dogs and my downtrodden Flyers, who have nowhere to go but up!

(unless we wanted to be a loser franchise like the Pens, and finish last five years in a row so we could rebuild the easy, long, slow, way!)

Based on the moves they made this off season they aren't doing that. They will be right in that playoff hunt with the Leafs this year.
