NEW STYLE - ALL MSGS/COMMENTS HERE

As you can see I'm trying to get the forum closer to the Icedogs colours. It's not done yet, still needs some tweaking. Any comments can go in here. IT WILL take some getting used to after being on the blue theme for so long.

I still have to fine some new buttons as they're still the old blue ones.

CHANGES (I'll update this as new ones are found):
- the REPUTATION icon is now a check/X icon
- when reading messages, at the bottom of each one, you'll noticed the "MultiQuote" and "QuickReply" icons - they WERE there before, just smaller, so most people didn't notice them. MultiQuote is used to quote multiple messages in a threat at once, when you're replying. QuickReply just shoots you down to the quick reply box.
- underneath the row at the top that has "Thread Tools, Search This Thread" etc. in it, there's an annoying blue/purple'ish line that went well with the old style, but I'm STILL trying to find out how to change the colour of this dang thing! :)

THanks! I'll still be tweaking it here and there a bit. LIke the drop-down menus from "Search" and "QuickLinks" I want to make a little better than just black. The problem is, that in the style editor, there's NO way of telling what your editing unless you know all the script names off by heart (yah right) so you have to basically change a colour, then go into the forum and search for what part of what page changed :eek: So it's a lot of back and forth editing.

The one BIG thing I like about these new colours that I've gone with is that everyone's signature pictures look a LOT better in their messages when the background blends with it :) :)

Hehe, I told WellandDogsFans that last night that there was going to be a big change coming.

He'll probably log on today and think the colour of the sky outside has changed :D I imagine it'll be a drastic environment change for him and some others :D

It's hard to say, the red looks a little too dark, more of a Guelph Storm burgundy if you ask me...

I had the red brighter, but it was hard on the eyes after reading msgs for 5 minutes. I thought going with a grey/black/white with a bit of a darker red would be easier on the eyes.

I can boost it up a bit and see if it's still ok with everyone.

Personally I think it's a bit too red. I like the darker red (like in the POST REPLY / NEW THREAD /etc. buttons)

Really!? Aaaahhhh. But this red (more cherry red) is the Icedogs colours! The brighter red I think makes it look to orangy. no?

It's more like the colour of the car below:

But the colour right now is like the colour on their uniforms like the graphic at the very top that IGT nicely made up.

I just think the deep red is a bit more professional looking. :confused1:

But if people want a bright red then I can change it to a brighter red. Just so long as people don't complain later saying the darker red was easier to look at :)

Do you guys like the red around the left side of the above graphic (the vertical stripes) or the red of the "Be loud be proud" lettering? (this will be for the rows going across the page at the top of each person's posts, and of forum menus). I think the red at the left side of the graphic (which is what it is now) also goes better with the forum's buttons.

Nope the sky is still blue, had to run and check to make sure after I logged on though:tongue_smilie:

I like the red in Be Loud overall, but I agree I think the red on the left edge goes better.

the red that is on here right now i like.... any brighter would not be good on the eyes...this is almost a match to the clor on the jersey's

Ack! I just noticed that when I made the new style I lost the left menu on the main forum page that contained the links to the stats, FlashChat, etc..

grr... this site won't let me finish working on it!! (and I'll probably just mess everything RIGHT up trying to get that menu back). Aahh.. I'm not even gonna bother. :cursing:

Yah FlashChat is still availble from the QuickLinks pulldown menu at least. I'm just scared to re-install that LeftSide Colum hack - it might revert all the work I've done with the colour scheme and put me back to the default. THAT would suck. I figure most people just ignored that side column anyway. The only links it had were to the 2 stats programs (which are available from the forum home page anyway), a link to Flashchat, and a link to the www homepage. Nothing major lost.

Only thing im not too fond of is that slight blue border...Its hard to see but it just kind of sticks out for me. I love the rest though! great stuff.

I have no time. I like to read books and the book I'm on, the last time I opened it up, was over 2 months ago. (and I started it 8 months ago!!) Absolutely no time, and my backlog of things to do grows daily.
