You have to take who's PLAYED CONSISTENTLY into account to.

As good as a lot of players are talent-wise, they're not valuable to the team when they're sitting in the stands. Don't get me wrong though, it's not their fault they're injured and I don't blame them. But someone who contributes night in night out over the entire year is the guy who's valuable to yah.

I would have made this poll a multiple choice one so people could select more than one. Because it's a toss-up for me between a couple.

that's why I included Legein... as little games he has played compared to others..... he makes an impact..
if you feel "other" i would be interested to know who...
I didnt make it multiple, as much as I thought about it, because in the end there is only one picked. difficult job... but thats the way it works.

Actually, I think the whole team should be listed. "Other" doesnt do players like Merrett, DeSousa and Aggozino enough credit.

I thought about making one with the whole team - but what about the players that visit the site and see that not one person voted for them. :sad2:

AACCH! GODAAMN POKER COMMERCIALS ON TSN RIGHT NOW!! I DON'T CARE ABOUT POKER !!! GRR!!! Maybe someone's giving an award to the winner between TSN and Sportsnet of who can DESTROY their programming the MOST by WRECKING it with frickin POKER shows and POKER commercials. :offrant:

What was I saying... oh yah, the polls... I wouldn't want the site being responsible for destroying a player's confidence  Hehe.

It might also be too early to hold a poll like these because who knows what Dahms going to do.

I dont know if I agree with you on this one, AD. To get to this level the players have to believe in themselves more than anyone else does. Sure it might hurt someones feelings if they dont get a vote, but I do not think it would destroy their confidence. Hell, it may work the opposite, it may fuel the fire inside them so they work harder to be an MVP type player.

Possibly. If they were all adults and paid for playing I'd go ahead with it in an instant. Just not sure that kids who might never play beyond the O need to see them listed at the bottom of a poll with zero votes. :y1:

Swift, Luca takes to many shifts off, actually that is incorrect, Luca waits at the Blue line of the other team, and lets odd man breaks happen on the D and the other forwards giving the other team scoring chances in hope of a nice easy lead pass to give him a scoring chance.

i love guys like aggy and merrett.. but i dont think you can put them with a guy like a couple of the leaders and say they are mvps. they play their role well... by all means.
but not so sure they fit into the mvp thing... guys this isnt to ruin anyones confidence (in fact if they made it this far and a webpoll voted on by faceless dogs nuts puts your confidence down, then that's really not good) ...
and dahm isnt part of it because it's "at this point in the season". im just looking for people to just share your opinions and see what you think..
ill say it again... one mvp when it comes down to it.. we all love the team... but in the end there is only one picked.

Luca hands down! Who else can we always count on for a point. Whether its a goal or an assist, Luca is always out there putting it to the net!

If you will notice: Luca(F-Bomb) only sits at the blue line while on a PP. This is so a defenceman has to hang back leaving only three players on the PK to go on the offensive(past center). Makes for easire break-outs of our defensive end(because of the larger open ice area) while not having to sacrifice an advantage. Getting a nice lead pass for a breakaway sometimes is just a little bonus. And he isnt always looking for a pass. The best play in that situation is just to tip it deep into the offensive zone and chase it down. Im pretty sure he does that more than trying to catch the pass and split the D.

First, Luca did nothing for us in December, or early January when were crippled with injuries; scoring doesn't make an MVP! Swift and Foreman kill penalties by themselves, DeSousa and Merrett grind things out with the best of them! Petro and Day have been as solid on D as you can get! If you include Legein for what he has done in his 23 games, how about Dahm!? Would we be feeling as well as we are going into the playoffs!! Good Luck picking an MVP; if you don't watch the team on a regular basis either! Because you wouldn't have clue!!
