The Ontario Hockey League announced today that Belleville Bulls’ forward Bryan Cameron (http://www.ontariohockeyleague.com/stats/player.php?lang_id=en&id=4323) has been added to the Eastern Conference roster for the 2008 OHL All-Star Classic at the Steelback Centre in Sault Ste. Marie on February 5 and 6, 2008.

Cameron replaces Stefan Legein (http://www.ontariohockeyleague.com/stats/player.php?lang_id=en&id=4089) of the Niagara IceDogs, who is unable to play in the game due to injury.

Cameron, an 18-year-old native of Brampton, is enjoying an outstanding third OHL season with the Bulls. He has 27 goals and 30 assists for 57 points in 48 games and is poised to crack the 30-goal mark for the second straight season. The former first round OHL pick was a fourth round pick of the Los Angeles Kings in the NHL Entry Draft last summer. He also played in the ADT Canada-Russia Challenge in November.

The 2008 OHL All-Star Classic will feature 40 of the league's brightest stars in an Eastern Conference versus Western Conference showdown format. It is a two-day event that includes the OHL All-Star Skills Competition and Three-on-Three Game on Tuesday February 5, along with the All-Star Luncheon and OHL All-Star Classic on Wednesday February 6.

The 2008 OHL All-Star Classic is supported by OHL partners Boston Pizza, All Weather Windows, Subway, NAPA, Yamaha and Reebok and will be broadcast live on Rogers Sportsnet.

Source? (I'd post a link to it, but all information from other people, we need to put the source up, so it's not copyright infringement (copying and pasting without doing so would probably fall under that category)).

Thanks!

Swift should have replaced Legein.

Swift should have replaced Legein.
He couldnt have replaced them. The AllStar team is made up like a regular OHL team. Only 3 OA's are allowed. Those OA positions were filled so Swifty couldnt be named to the team.

This would be one thing that I think would be kind of cool to see. Not sure if its worth the drive to Soo though.

For what its worth the OHL all-star game is a snoozer. I went to the one in Mississauga back in the day and I'm pretty sure I could have fallen asleep watching it. Theres nothing youll see live that you cant get the same enjoyment when watching it on TV.

it is definitely not worth going to the soo to watch it. no matter how many icedogs are playing in it.

will it be a snoozer, i was wondering that last night? the prospects game was very intense but it was made for scouts so obviously they'll work hard. but scouts will be there tomorrow night too so i thought it may be hard played? but then again, NO ONE wants to get hurt in an all star game, especially with the playoffs comin up. i hope no one takes any big slappers and i hope there isn't much hitting. no way i want one of our boys injured right now. we play thursday and friday too so i hope it's a nice game of pond hockey. it should be fun and we should see some good goals. go east go haha

There is no intensity at all. The goalies just get shelled which is a great thing if your goalie isn't in the event. The goalies give up about 5 goals each (some more). As I said in another post, John Murray (Kitchener) last year didn't seem to recover after the all-star game. Completely different goalie and he had a horrible playoffs.

I understand you cheering for the east but you should also be hoping that Murphy and Pitton get lit up for 15 goals.

yes the skills comp is tonight, not sure if it is televised or not. The game itself will be on SportsNet tomorrow night.
