A wild one at the old barn today

The brawl Stevens vs Sladok, Hayes vs Bochek, Coaches Stefan and Mavety get tossed. A fan who is actually mentally challenged gets involved

Well, we here in Niagara saw how Plymouth handles a beat down. I guess the Whalers showed their true colors again today.

OLD TIME HOCKEY!! At least if you lose the game you can win the fights! :D The Leafs used to be like that at one time... at least they were entertaining to watch!

I can tell you nobody left their seats when this went down. Heck that's the most noise and excitement in the crowd for a long time.

An update on suspensions... both coaches have beens suspended "indefinately" by the OHL. No player suspensions have been announced yet.

That looked and sounded like the WWE. I think fighting as soon as the puck is dropped (last clip) for no apparent reason is just silly. I have been critical of Fletcher for pre-arranging fights but I was proud of him yesterday. He actually tried to skate away from that kid and the kid kept coming at him. Fletch pummelled that guy. Can someone download that fight please. It was a Fletcher classic.

Talked to Fletcher after the game. He was commenting that in past his old team would want him to fight constantly, but the coaching staff right now really wants him to concentrate on playing the game and keep improving. They told him he doesn't have to prove anything in the fight department, now he needs to show everyone that he can play the game and it's the only way he will move to the next level. I asked him about the playoffs and he was very direct, we are going to the Mem Cup, anything less is failure!

Now if somehow we could find a happy medium between this crap and euro trash hockey I would be a happy fan.

I agree with that, everyone knows Fletch can fight...Although its always a good time watching him beat someone down:)
