The Niagara IceDogs defeated the Erie Otters this afternoon by a score of 10-5, in front of another sell-out crowd of 3,145 at the Gatorade Garden City Complex in St. Catharines.

The game was a shootout with the IceDogs out shooting the Otters 52-43. The IceDogs lead the entire game, exploding for ten goals and exacting a degree of revenge for their defeat to the Otters in Erie in their last meeting. In addition, the game saw the return of IceDogs forward Stefan Legein, who scored in his first game back since injuring his shoulder while playing with the Canadian World Junior team

The IceDogs attack was led by first star Alex Pietrangelo, with a goal and 3 assists, second star Luca Caputi, with two goals and an assist, and third star Michael Swift with a goal and 2 assists.

The IceDogs remain second in the Central division, seven points back of the Brampton Battalion. The win is the IceDogs second in as many games and their seventh win in their last eight.

The IceDogs next home game is Sunday, March 9, 2008 against the Oshawa Generals. The game is already down to standing room only and is sure to be completely sold-out in the coming days. Fans are encouraged to grab their tickets for all upcoming games now, as they are selling out quickly.
