The Dogs continue their drive for the 2nd or 3rd conference seed.

Luca has a chance to break the 50 goal barrier if he pots two goals tomorrow night.

The Erie Otters and the IceDogs have been discussed pretty well recently because they just faced each other a couple of days ago, so I wont give the usual streak and past 10 facts.

One new item of note, Brian Shaw, the Otters Dman, has been suspended for the remainder of the season for his conduct in last Sunday's game. He received a 5 minute major for checking from behind, a 5 min fighting penalty and a 10 min game misconduct. Because of the game misconduct the infraction was reviewed and the league took exception (as they should have) with his check from behind on MacEachern.

Look for the Dogs to win big again.

Good that Shaw got suspended, that hit was vicious.

Six games is a bit much. I was thinking more like two.

These type of games get me very nervous, not from a win/loss perspective but from a stupid type injury issue. The Dogs are playing for a reason, Otters are just playing out the season and if Niagara runs up the score things could get ugly, especially with our main enforcer not on the ice. I would secure the win, but not run up the score. Why pour salt on a painful wound!

He (shaw) wasnt paying attention to the ref when he was sitting in the box. The ref was trying to get him to leave the ice and he was too busy telling me he blanked my sister. hahaha

Back when VanLaren did the same thing to the MISSY player, he got 10 games. That innocent was face to face . Plus stick to stick! 6 games is fair!

i hope start tighening up defensively. we will def need to improve that for the playoffs. allowing 7 and 5 goalie won't be acceptable come post season. i want to see smart hockey the rest of the way.

Tough loss tonight sounded like a bad break on Erie seventh goal maybe the boys were looking ahead and thought Erie was going to mail this one in.Time to give Dahm some rest.

 Just got in and checked the score...what the eff?! Definitely looking forward to the "second season"...regular season will be in the past, time for a fresh start. That being said, the overall lack of consistency in play scares me - gotta remain optimistic though. Go Dogs Go!

Agreed, sometimes a change in goaltending wakes the rest of the players up. They become conscious of who's back there and tighten down the the defensive play.

I was at the game, I think any of the 6 there would say it was a sloppy game, lots of excuses could be made for both sides, but at the end of the day, the "boys" didn't look like they wanted to play. A few defensive mistakes, a few missed oppurtunities by lots of players, thinking to much instead of getting the puck on net. Forwards didn't pressure the D and some look lazy getting back into the play at times.

Like I said, looked like a sloppy game that neither team wanted to play, and we just came out on the losing end.
