Personally, I dont think Maroon should qualify as a rook. My vote would be either for Unice or O'Reilly.

Taylor Hall is by far and away the winner of the ROTY
Take a look at his stats.

I have been passionatly voting for Unice!!! He is a rookie, but is one of the top goalies in the O. You could even argue some nights that Mason is HIS backup!

Absolutely right! 40 goals and + 37 as a 17 year old. Runaway choice! GO DOGS!

yeah Hall won't be 17 until November this year. he is very young. for him to put up these kind of #'s is really unreal. liek isay he very well could go #1 in 2010 he's special for sure.
that windsor team has really come together. if they get any kind of goaltending they could give kitchener a run for their money. kovar has been solid lately and engelage is good too

Hall hands down! Unless Ellis splits the vote, I do think it the ROTY should be shared! The Spites could be very scary in the future!

Hall named Boston Pizza Player of the Week
The Ontario Hockey League today announced that for the second consecutive week, Taylor Hall (http://www.ontariohockeyleague.com/stats/player.php?lang_id=en&id=4895) of the Windsor Spitfires is the Boston Pizza OHL Player of the Week. Hall scored seven goals and added five assists for 12 points to go along with a plus-7 plus-minus rating in three games last week.
Hall started the week with two goals, including the game winner in overtime, and two assists and was the first star in leading the Spitfires to a 7-6 overtime win over the Oshawa Generals on Tuesday. He scored four goals, including the game winner, and added an assist in another first star effort, leading the Spitfires to a 5-4 win over the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds on Thursday. Hall finished the week with a goal and two assists in a 6-5 overtime loss to the Sarnia Sting on Friday.
Hall, a 16-year-old from Kingston, was the second overall pick in the OHL Priority Selection last May. He leads all OHL rookies with 41 goals this season and is second with 77 points in 59 games. Hall, who is not eligible for the NHL Entry Draft until 2010, is currently riding an eight game goal scoring streak and a nine game point scoring streak.
