Niagara travels to their old stomping ground, the Hershey Centre, for a preview of the likely first round playoff matchup. The Majors are undefeated in five (3-0-1-1) and are 30-31-2-2 on the year. The IceDogs come in riding a three game win streak, and are 8-2-0-0 in their last ten.

Hopefully the boys can build on tonights BIG win. I have it on good authority there may be a surprise in net.....will know for sure when they drop the puck.

We can still catch Brampton for second overall seed and barrie with a little help from us can still catch Missy for the 5th seed.

Hope we have a large contingent at the game. I know I wouldnt miss this one!!

As far as fifth seed, I'd rather play Missy. They're probably a better team that Barrie, but I love the rivalry and would love to pack the cottage with dogs fans (its also a bit closer for us)

Volpe is back in action (well on the bench anyways) for the Falcons. I dont think he will be seeing much if any ice time during the Falcons playoff run (unfortunately). I hope if Rocky is in net tomorrow night he comes out and plays the way I know he can play.

It was ludzik who had the 60 save performance, not De Fazio. Ludzik is a very good goalie and is property of the Spitfires. To bad he is an '88. De Fazio on the other hand is way over rated and definitely not OHL caliber. His overplaying most shots would get him lit up in the O. Volpe is a better goalie.

Just wanted to point out, that in the last 3 games, we beat the Number 1, 2 and 3 seed in the East. If we win out the week, we can add the 5 and 8 seed to that going into the playoffs.

I think Missy and everyone else in the East is nervous about playing us, especially once our injured guys get back.

Look out Missy, looking to make another example out of you at our cottage.

Should be an 'ok' game tonight. I can see Niagara risking any of their top Dogs to injury in this one. They might play everyone available but Cheech would be wise to give the 3rd and 4th line guys a lot more ice time tonight. Who cares even if we loose. Give Missy some undeserved confidence before we beat them 4 straight in the playoffs. Actually, I hope it goes 6 games just so I get to see 4 home games.

I really don't care about the outcome. Sure bragging rights are nice, to boost our "last 10" games stats and year-end stats. But I REALLY don't want to lose any more players to injury!!

Here's a few early post-game thoughts...

Way to go Lobster! :hurray: 3rd star and well deserved! No comparison for the goalies tonight, Lucas outplayed Grieco hands down. Great to see and provides some confidence for him, his team-mates and the fans!

Dogs came out strong and kept pouring it on.

Caputi didn't miss a beat from a night off.

Bergeron, imho, with limited playing time played well and scored a goal!

What's with the manhandling of Tracitto!! The linesman thought he was an outside linebacker out there. Great tackle but not the right time or place. Reggie could have been hurt... The announcer at the end of the game remarked that the fans were yelling at that linesmen and probably for that incident. Must have been our entourage attending the game at our cottage!! Good for you guys!

Didn't see much on TV of Sanderson and Rinaldo at the very end. Again announcer said Rinaldo challenged Barry with a stick tap/slash on the back of his leg. Sanderson is not the kind of guy to back down, but he seemed to take it pretty good. Announcer said there could be a suspension for Rinaldo as a result. Anybody see more to this???

Good game and can't wait for Sunday! See you all at the tailgate!

I was at the game tonite grea job by our guys. The standard article today indicated that he was given an extra game of rest as a result of that thigh injury. he should be back on sunday

Pretty much everything that could be said has been said about this game with one exception. Yes, Rinaldo is a bum, and he deserves every bit of suspension he will surely get. but in my opinion the biggest goon in the arena Friday night wasnt Rinaldo, it was the guy behind the Majors bench. The game was out of reach and what does that bum do? He puts out 5 goons to do one thing.... try to hurt and intimidate our guys. I hope Cameron gets suspended as well, lord knows he deserves it. I had some respect for him prior to the game, not now... you reap what you sow buddy.
