Winner of the East get the Bobby Orr Trophy and winner of the West get the Wayne Gretzky Trophy.

East

#1 Belleville vs #8 Peterborough (5 games)
- Can't see the Petes scoring much in this one. They don't have much scoring up front. When they do score it will likely be started by Kulda or Bogosian.

#2 Brampton vs #7 Barrie (5 games)
- Can't see the Colts scoring much in this one. They don't have much scoring up front. They play a good trap though but that leads to no offence really.

#3 Oshawa vs #6 Ottawa (6 games)
- Don't like either of these two teams. 67's were something like 7-16 the last 23 games or so and couldn't score at all. They did get captain McGinn back yesterday which helps big time. Oshawa have good individual defenders but their team D is terrible. Courchaine was good down the stretch and I think OTT can ride him to an upset victory.

#4 Niagara vs #5 Mississauaga (5 games)
- Dogs have may more speed and scoring talent. Majors play a physical brand of hockey and get good goaltending from Carrozzi but that's about it.

West

Let me just say the West is way better than the East. All 8 teams here are quality but in the East only 4 teams are really any good, maybe 3 depending on whether or not Oshawa get their acts together. Western playoffs should be great

#1 Kitchener vs #8 Plymouth (5 games)
- Should be a good series, maybe closer than the # of games indicates. Good chance for the Rangers to make a statement and oust last years Champs. KIT are just stcaked. They have scoring depth, solid D, and the best goalie in the league if not in all of junior hockey.

#2 Sault Ste Marie vs #7 Saginaw (5 games)
- The Soo are very experienced and well coached. Spirit have 1 very good scoring line but Hartsburg will likely have a shut down unit on them and try to make another line beat them.

#3 Windsor vs #6 Sarnia (6 games)
- Spits are young but extremely talented. They've been playing like a team of destiny since the passing of Captain Renaud. Explosive offence, solid D and goaltending they have it all.

#4 London vs #5 Guelph (7 games)
- Love the way the Storm play D and I like that will be then difference here. Defensive and goaltending edges to the Storm so I think they can pull the upset<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->
