I dont' like to do predictions, only because of the obvious (they're just guessing games, and mean nothing). But I could see us taking Oshawa in 5 if Dahm's on his game and we stay out of the box.
Oh, AND if we are able to avoid Nazi refs that call us even when we're behaving. (and of course, our top line is on their game).
Basically, if our stars play like stars, and we stay out of the box, we'll be fine me thinks.
The only scare is that playing Missisauga 4 straight, who offered little-to-no resistance, may have caused our guys to be a bit catatonic....
HOpefully Fletcher and Corrente will be able to throw their stars around a bit if they try to stand in Dahm's crease. With Fletch back we'll have some size to muscle guys out of there finally. (yes Petro can do it, but he's been playing a bit soft in front of the net the last few games)

OHL Playoff Predictions; EASTERN CONFERENCE
SEMIFINALS
(1) Belleville Bulls (48-14-4-2)
vs. (7) Barrie Colts (28-34-3-3))
Head-to-head: Bulls, 2-0
Outlook: Bulls will miss D Nick Pageau and F Shawn Matthias, but deep roster just too much for young Colts. Eight Bulls have been drafted into the NHL, while Tomas Marcinko is the lone Colt. . . G Michael Hutchinson will have to stand on his head for Colts to have a shot, and dreadful power play (1-for-27 against Battalion) will have to wake up or this series could be over quick. Cory McGillis' return from a five-game suspension should help Colts.
Pereira: Bulls in 5 Shantz: Bulls in 6
(3) Oshawa Generals (38-17-6-7)
vs. (4) Niagara IceDogs (42-25-0-1)
Head-to-head: 1-1
Outlook: 'Dogs were right at home in their first-round sweep of the Majors, playing in their old stomping grounds. . . World junior forward Stefan Legin (4-5-9) and top prospect Alex Pietrangelo (4-4-8) were both outstanding in opening round for the 'Dogs. . . Gens cleaned up their act defensively in their first-round sweep of the Ottawa 67s, giving up just six goals in four games. . . Says here that G Sebastian Dahm will outplay Gens big trade deadline acquisition of G. Michal Neuvirth
Pereira: 'Dogs in 6 Shantz: 'Dogs in 6
WESTERN CONFERENCE
SEMIFINALS
(1) Kitchener Rangers (53-11-1-3)
vs. (6) Sarnia Sting (37-29-2-0)
Head-to-head: Rangers, 4-0
Outlook: Rangers, led by MVP candidate Justin Azevedo (1-13-14), Nick Spaling (4-7-11) and Matt Halischuk (6-3-9), rolled over the Whalers in first-round sweep. . . Top NHL prospect Steven Stamkos carried the Sting past Spitfires with impressive nine goals in five-game series win. . . Former Colts goaltender Andrew Perugini was in top form in first round and will have to be at his best for Sting to have a shot here. . . Says here Sting pull off stunning upset in seven-game thriller.
Pereira: Sarnia in 7 Shantz: Kit. in 5
(2) Soo Greyhounds (44-18-2-4)
vs. (5) Guelph Storm (34-25-5-4)
Head-to-head: 2-2
Outlook: F Matt Caria (3-5-8), acquired from Mississauga at trade deadline came up big for Soo in series win over Saginaw. . . Guelph D Drew Doughty is one of league's best on the point and the Knights had no answer for him in first round. . . Soo's Kyle Gajewski and Guelph's Thomas McCollum are two of the best in goal, so scoring will be at a premium in this low-scoring series. Soo gave up league-fewest goals against (173), while Storm were fourth best (187). More scoring and depth up front will prove the difference for Soo.
Pereira: Soo in 6 Shantz: Soo in 7

sounds like Barrie is relishing their underdog role. sounds like they are a very tight group right now with confidence. no one expected them to beat Brampton and no one expects them to beat Belleville but they'll be tough at the very least
also I'm getting 4-1 on my money tonight with Barrie. Big play on the Under 6 goals tonight as well

I think you are going to lose both your wagers tonight. Round 2 isnt going to be nearly as nice to the Colts as round 1 was... in my opinion.

Yeah I honestly think that Barrie is going to fall apart in round 2. But we all know just how far a really hot goalie can carry you in the playoffs.

well lines on Barrie straight up and +2 went way down so other gamblers believe they have a chance. they are down to 3.4-1 now. and the over/under went to 5.5 so i have some good value locked in regardless
