Sorry IGT, but in my opinion, Slapshot is one of the best hockey movies ever made. I never got into the Mighty Ducks trilogy.

Yeah doesnt surprise me. I was in the target age for those movies when they came out so to me they are classics for me!

I cannot believe this is even close! The mighty ducks was a pretty good movie but it wasnt even close to slapshot. lol I would like to know if people liked slapshot or young guns better. that was a good hockey movie. Not a comedy though

You grew up in the wrong years mon ami! :P You had the Mighty Ducks trilogy, *I* had the STAR WARS trilogy! (the *real* Star Wars, being the first 3 movies released).

Star Wars, Indiana Jones, ET, breakdancing, Rubik's Cube, ALF, Fraggle Rock, Dukes of Hazzard & Miami Vice (the *tv* shows), Mork & Mindy, Family Ties, Dungeons & Dragons (the game), WKRP in Cincinnati, Silver Spoons, Breakfast Club, Ozzy Osbourne and Iron Maiden, Andrew McCarthy, Molly Ringwald, the Delorian and Back to the Future, Pacman, Space Invaders, Dragon's Lair and Space Ace, Harold Ballard (HUH!?), etc, etc....

And Madonna actually *was* a virgin not just like one, and the constant threat of nuclear war!

Oh i've seen and own Slapshot, I love it. Its just being the age alot of us are, The Mighty Ducks were aimed just at us and it brings back sort of a nostalgic feeling when I see those movies. I love both of them though.
