View Full Version : Local cable 10 (Cogeco) black screen for like the last week ( ??? )

Has anyone else's ch.10 been showing just a black screen for the last .. pretty much, week?
My on-screen guide is showing the listings at the bottom correctly, but there's no audio/video feed at all - just black.
Anyone else?

I'm going to have to call them in the morning - I don't want to miss any pre-season action if they're going to be airing it! (not to mention regular season - they've been showing a black screen for about a week so who knows how long it'll last).

OK I just got off the phone with the 800/267-9000 tech support and he said they weren't even aware of it and nobody else has called in.
Can everyone reading this please check your local ch.10 cable (Cogeco customers only obviously) and call this # if it is just showing a black screen: 866-879-7179 then press "1"
He said without people calling in about it, they won't know about it, and more will get done faster, if more people call.
If we don't all let them know we have no Ch.10, it could mean no IceDogs hockey on TV.

OK...here's the thing. My basic cable feed shows the channel OK, but not from the digital box.
Called Cogeco and he said he is not aware of a problem but will pass the information down and see if they can locate what the problem is.
In the meantime, he said to use channel 910 on my digital box to get the basic analog feed. That worked.

OK, I can exhale - ch.10 is back up and running.
Who ever thought I'd freak about loosing ch.10....
