Andrew Loverock is trying to make the best of a disappointing setback in his hockey career. Despite a solid rookie campaign with the Mississauga IceDogs, the 18-year-old netminder was passed over in the National Hockey League draft in June. But through some hard work by his agent, Loverock was able to land a spot at a Montreal Canadiens' development camp in July, where he was so impressive he was invited back to training camp.

I doubt he would be kept by the Canadians or sent to their AHL affiliate, but what does that do to our goaltending? He looked pretty solid at the Black and White game.....

he did look solid during that game... hurt his shoulder though... saw him icing it on the sidelines...

Lobsinger is hurt right now and wouldn't be able to play for the opener, Hopefully Loverock is back by the 21st.

Usually, when a Jr A player is at the NHL camp, they miss the first week or so of the season... unless they cut right away. When do the Canadians open camp?

appears to be Sept 13....little close to our opener...

If that is the case, I doubt he will be back by the 21st.

..and from what I recall, Foreman is going to the Oilers camp this week.

Does anyone have a full list of what NHL camps the IceDogs are going to?

Foreman --- Edmonton
Loverock --- Montreal
Corrente --- New Jersey
Schiestel --- Buffalo
Caputi --- Pittsburgh
Legein --- Columbus
Lobsinger --- Colorado, injured

These are the 6 guys who will be away at NHL camps. Good Luck to all. :)

Don't fret this is what always happens at the start of an OHL season for quite a number of teams. ;)
