I just got an email from someone at Cogeco asking me (politely mind you) to remove pictures of Cogeco's staff at the games.

Why I have NO Idea. It's a public place, everyone else was taking the same shots I was.

But as always, I'm not here to step on anyone's toes, so I removed them.

So for everyone taking snapshots at the games, please don't submit any shots of Cogeco staff. Thanks.

Yah, I just did it to comply and stay on everyone's good side. I mean, *legally* I know I can put up the photos, and usage of the video footage falls under Fair Dealing since the entire reason for it is for the topic of discussion. Still, this site is here to promote the team, and to act as a platform for fans to come together. Cogeco/CKTB are the ones making the games available to those who can't go to them in person, so I respect what they're doing (ok ok, there's obviously money involved in what they're doing, but still :D

gotta be in the good books.... and really... i dont care for pics of the camera guy... i want the action pics etc... if that is their wishes... than so be it... there must be a reason for it...
Easy to get into a pissing match with them...but why...it wont make a difference either way... supporting the team....that's goal # 1

I like how you tell us when people don't like certain things you've done....most I can understand, but, here, I find it quite funny:

(a) why would anyone want to take pics of the camera men, and,
(b) why do they not want the pics shown!?

lol

anyways, no biggie I'm sure

a: I just thought it would be cool to show the TV coverage the game was getting
b: dunno! Doesn't matter.

As for why I tell people - If I find out that something is'nt allowed I like to pass it on as soon as possible so others don't make the same mistake. I've seen people taking pictures of the interviews that go on during intermissions, so this I'm just letting others know that Cogeco wishes people not to do it. I'm sure it's ok to take shots of the player being interviewed, but I was specifically told not to shoot the crew. I don't ask questions why (actually, i DID ask why, just out of simple curiousity).

Hopefully others can learn from my mistakes :p

I've always despised slowgeco. Crappy Internet, they take tv stations off and raise the price(CKCO Kitchener my main beef) and the most ignorant and incompetent customer service.

We're getting a big off topic here... I agree with the customer service (I often can't understand a word they're saying with the accents) but as for the service, it's been very good for the most part in my neighborhood (which goes without saying because I haven't switched to Bell/Star!). Not many other cable companies will give you a full 10mbit net connection for 40 bucks a month either.

Anyway... I said we're going off topic and I just added to it by replying... sorry 'all. ;) If this turns out to be a popular topic we can continue it in this thread and I'll just move the thread to the off-topic forum.
