will be interesting to see how many niagara people will show up to the games now that the ticket prices have gone up. i hope people realize how good the product on the ice is going to be and appreciate it. we will never get hockey as good as this ever again...unfortunatly most people in this city will probably not want to walk 5 miles from there parking spot to pay these prices for long.if the city fathers were smart(lol) they would have built a 5000 seater at the four pad to begin with. Oh well maybe someday someone with some forsight will get on city council. Go Dogs Go.

Still, $16/17 ain't bad at all a couple times a week. +$5 for parking. You figure, you go to a Leaf game and you're paying $20 for parking and $100+ for an ok seat, $8 a beer or whatever it is now... and as a fan I find OHL hockey much more entertaining than NHL.

For some struggling families it'll be hard when someone's living paycheque to paycheque though, I agree.

I've gotten lucky, I only had to pay to park once and that was at the first game. The other 2 I got to park right in the arena parking lot.

I think you will find that the attendance for the home opener and subsiquent games to be sellouts or close to it. Fortunately, you cannot condem the entire region just because you have little faith in the people of St Catharines.... as long as the Dogs put an exciting product on the ice, people will come. Perhaps they wont be from St Kitts... if not, its their loss. The pricing for tickets is absolutely reasonable also most parking will be free after 6PM. It has been documented that the walk from the lower level parking area is only 5 mins to the Jack...

your right i have little faith in the people of St.Catharines, and hope people from other areas of niagara will fill the seats, the hockey is going to be awesome and i will definatly be there as much as possible...tell me though if this is going to be a Niagara area team not just St kitts how come theres only 900 ticket packages sold, and im told there not all seasons tickets. You would think you could get at least 1500 sold for the entire area ,we all know the high quality product the OHL offers. Let me know what you think?

According to the Dogs front office, there were (as of last thursday) just over 1,000 Sseason tickets sold. That figure does not represent flex packages.

One more thing i forgot ,you wouldnt think it would be hard to sell out a 2900 seat arena. If by chance it is you and i will not be dog fans for long. We will need all the support we can get from the outlying areas...oh well i still cant wait till friday, enjoy the game.

thats good to know then i was talking to reporter that covers the team as of a couple of weeks ago only 900 and that included flex packs. I am liking your stats better though

I got my numbers from Bill Burke Thursday at the meet and greet. He didnt have an accurate number of flex packages but said they were selling well.

Now isnt the time to be negative about the team (no you havent been negative about the team) or the area. I am sure the support the Dogs receive will be something the city or the region hasnt seen in a long time. In my opinion, as long as they organization puts a good, competitive team on the ice, they will draw well.

Well if we have been getting as many as we have for the preseason it will be fine. Im sure pretty much everyone who went had a great time and will return.

I agree RioBravo... From what I heard listening to away exhibition games, we out drew every team we played away games with. I think that the 2k+ we drew last Thursday was very impressive for an exhibition game.

Its a small rink so when the visiting team brings a bus or two of supporting fans the place will look packed.

By the way I wonder how many of our fans will make the trek during away games?.....Hmmmmm
