whats up with the "official" Booster Club forum?
no one has mentioned it... i noticed that WDF is a moderator there.. which explains why we no longer see him here.
never heard of it until accidently coming across it today..

There's ads for it stuck on our boards at the rink. I'm guessing that since the fans already have their own forum, it's probably for booster club members (for planning?) ?? Dunno. I hardly have time to keep up with this place. (and will quite possibly be having a LOT less time if this current job opportunity bares fruit)

I don't think he was criticizing anything. 'Just mentioning he hadn't heard about it.

It shouldn't matter why people are on here or not, or choose to be other places, their privacy is theirs, shouldn't be spread on here.
I think it is cool there are two forums, either they be for just the booster club members or for all fans of the ice dogs.
I think we should appreciate what these people like Alpha Dog and WDF are doing for our favorite OHL team, either it be for the Booster Club or just the Fans. I'm sure the Dog Pack offers something different than what is on here and visa versa...I don't see were anyone was critizing anyone just making an observation.
So good luck to both sites I enjoy this one, haven't seen the other one but I'm quite sure it is just as good...but then I'm prejudice I really like this one.
Good luck to the Dogs....

THANK YOU. I totally agree. And for all the hard work WDF did here all last year, I think *EVERYONE* owes him a big thanks. Lord knows, it was NOT easy for any of us last year.

The more the better! Any time we can get new fans excited about our team that's a good thing. ;)
I think we've probably already got the record # of sites for an OHL team. With this site, the official site, the Local Sports Report site, the booster club site... oh and Cogeco's icedogsblog site.

since my post disappeared, just wanted to clarify that is what I was doing. I just found it strange to not see anything on here, as this place is everything icedogs :P

Curiously I can't seem to get either the main page or the forums for the Dog Pack to load :confused1:

Of those, this site and, to a lesser degree the NOOF site, are the only ones that seem to get any attention. For being the "official" voice of the IceDogs fan club, and its inherent publicity advantage, the Dog Pack site seems to have woefully few subscribers, and not many posts. Hmmm, growing pains......??

Visits will come to any site that puts in the hours to make it work. My Leafs site didn't get busy until *7 YEARS* after it started. (hah, and now I've pretty much ditched it so I can focus on the IceDogs :p All that work for nothing) I've got my Leafs site forwarded to the Leaf board in here now.
As long as a site carries a distinct difference from the others, any site can do well. If it's just offering more-of-the-same-thats-already-out-there... well, no. Like when I started my Leaf site, there were already a gazillion Leaf sites. So I focused on the Leaf enforcers and kept it Leaf-fight-only, posting fight photos, fight videos, etc.. and it was the only one of its kind so it did well.
SO if anyone else wants to add to the IceDog sites out there, GO FOR IT! Just make sure it's unique in what it offers and you'll be fine.
