Kraft Hockeyville - Beamsville

The Beamsville arena has been entered in the Kraft Hockeyville 2009 contest. It is a dated arena in a town of fine hockey loving people. We are currently leading the race for most submitted stories from arenas accross Canada. The Dogs will be at the arena on Monday for an open practice and a skate. Most of us have a story of playing there when we were kids either for Beamsville or against (remember the square boards?) and if you could submit a story, the town would really appreciate it. It would be great for the town and the whole region to get behind this effort. Beamsville finished 2nd in all of Canada for stories submitted for Kraft Hockeyville 2009 with over 500. Third place was approximately half that.

9am -Tyke game 1
10am -Tyke game 2 (national anthem sung by guest singer)
11am - 1 hr. free skate, joined by Santa. Autograph session with Paul Laus (Florida Panthers) and Ryan Christie (Calgary Flames)
11am - LEAF TICKET GIVEAWAY! Platinum seats during skate.
12pm -Lunch bbq and Kick off to Ball Hockey tourney….. (Lunch is free with a donation to Hockeyville Campaign)
12-5 -Ball Hockey tournament - 4 divisions, tyke, novice, atom, pee wee
4-7pm -Dinner bbq, Live bands, Toni Antidormi, Bill Culp, Briar Gillis, Mike Lynch … (Dinner if free with a donation to Hockeyville Campaign)
7pm - Special Bill Berg telecast (Toronto Maple Leafs) Live broadcast of Hockey Night in Canada - Leafs vs. Penguins on outdoor 25’ sq. projection screen, bon fires and live music

WOW that's a lot of great stuff going on all at one event! PAUL LAUS!!! :) :) (I was a big fan of his enforcing days back in the late 90's / 2000'ish era.

The Lincoln Hockeyville day was a great success. The CBC cameramen were there for a solid 12 hours filming the days events. Saw a lot of people from neighboring towns come out and support the effort. On Jan 14th CBC announces the top 10 and then voting begins from the 14th to the 21st. Thanks to all who came out last Saturday.
