The Devils released a bunch of players from camp the other day, including 3 or 4 to junior clubs, however, looks like they've still held onto corrente.

I was curious about Corrente after that last comment and found this article. I'm wishing I hadn't found it now.

It sounds like a well deserved punishment and hopefully he learned his lesson, we all make mistakes.

This is not against the rules to be discussed. It is a problem with one of our very own players.

First of all, this is a rumor concerning an IceDogs player. I havent heard a thing about it so I do not know if it is true or not. I hope it isnt true.
Secondly, if this is true, it is a hockey related issue. In my opinion, Anything that happens to a player that puts his status in jeopardy is of interest here.
Funny story. The night the Dogs played Plymouth, someone from Brock with the same name as an IceDogs player was arrested. Fortunately, it wasnt our player, merely someone with the same name. If it had been our player, it certainly would have been a worthy topic to discuss because the players actions would have ramifications to that particular players playing status.
Just my two cents....

Did the OHL hand down any penalties for the guilty plea?
On a better note, I am glad it clearly states in the article that he will be returned to the Dogs at some point.
We live in a society of second, third, forth chances. I for one, will welcome him with open arms when he returns from the Devils camp.

As will I. It's not like none of us have been perfect our entire life.

As far as rules go...
It's ok to talk about FACTS that happen to a player that causes that player to have his status changed. It's going to get talked about on the radio, in the news, etc, so it's ok here.
But please do NOT talk about rumours. Rumours are too easily accepted as truths in everyday life, and people always remember the rumour about a person whether it turns into anything factual or not.
So if something is proven to be fact, and it has something to do with that player being in or out of the lineup, it's fine. If something is rumoured to have happened with facts to back it up, it needs to stay off the msg boards.
Obviously personal support for a player can only go so far, whether or not it has anything to do with what happens on the ice. EG: former Michael Vick fans have good reason to be anti-Vick now, even though what happened had nothing to do with his on-field antics.
Anyway, I'm getting in to this particular discussion. BUt just wanted to say, if it's a FACT BASED discussion, and has something to do with causing a player to be out of our lineup it's going to be talked about in the media anyway, so it's allowed here.
