Well tomorrow afternoon the Wolves come into town with a stunning 0-4 record. I do not think they should be taken lightly as they are probably not exactly proud of having a 4 game loss streak to start the season. They will probably come out hard and im sure the Dogs are ready for them. Hopefully we can take them. I'll be behind the Wolves goalie as always.

Yes, they should not be taken lightly. No team should be taken lightly. Doesnt one of the Staal brothers play for the Wolves?

Marc Staal used to but i doubt he didn't get moved up to the AHL if not the NHL.

Just checked out the Wolves website. Jared Staal plays for them. He is from TBay so I would assume he is atleast related to the other Staal's.

Ah yeah, Jared is the youngest one. I didn't know he played for them as well. From what I have heard, he isn't half the threat of his siblings.

Marc Staal had the game winning goal either last night, or the night before, for the Rangers, versus the Flyers.
Given the Rangers serious lack of depth on the blue line, and the fact that Staal is a pretty good prospect, plus, being a Staal, lol, expect him to stay with the Rangers, for at least the beginning of the year.
I think he's too young to play in the NHL right now, another year of junior wouldn't kill him, but, I guess the Rangers are desperate, and think otherwise.
I didn't know that there was another Staal, Jared...wow.

Yeah all the talk i've heard is that he completely dominated the OHL last year and they are expecting him to be a NHL Dman. Like I've said though, not many people are impressed with Jared.

Sudbury cannot be taken lightly, as any defending conference champion is always "the team to beat" and they are up for every game. Also, any team without a win is always desperate to break that goose egg. They're going to come out very tough, and I'm predicting a big first period onslaught of shots.

Should be a good game. I'm looking forward to it. I'll be in Row E of Section L.

What a game. The Dogs played just well enough to win. In my opinion, it was a good thing that Sudbury was playing the third game in a three games in as many days road trip.

Wow...it appears as if Section L is where the party's at...
...though I had some old people beside me that gave me disapproving looks whenever I started cheering/chanting/etc. -- I even had a "Knock it off" shot at me from the old lady beside me when I started my "0 and 5" chanting at the end of the game...to be honest, I'm not sure if they were Wolves fans or Dogs fans.

next time someone tells ya to "knock it off"...start barking at them...see what they do...maybe you were too loud for her hearing aid...I cant stand people that come to a game...and say stuff like that...like you said...who knows who they were cheering for...but I have seen some crusty people in the stands huffing and puffing and little things...they should lighten up...:D:D

Yeah my season tickets are right behind the net so i could stick up a sign any game i wanted too. Has to be something clever though. I was thinking "Legein Punch Glass Here After Goal" with a target or something. lots of ideas floating around.

Im with you on that one, i've been very loud at all games. You don't go to a hockey game to relax.

I've got a nice railing at the tunnel behind the visitor's bench. I'm hoping to break out signs for a few key games - hopefully the first time will be when the Knights roll into town (and it would be much sweeter if they were still winless at that time). I don't want to overkill that location, however, and use it every game. Only for key games and opponents.

I'm sure we could get a printing place like Skyway Graphics or someone to print a bunch of glossy sheets up. But what would we do with them?
We need some big flags to wave around in the stands.

you could do signs at home and then take them in to laminate them...we'll have to think of something....
