Kitchener, Ontario – Tournament General Manager John Thompson announced today that ticket packages for the 2008 MasterCard Memorial Cup to be held at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium in Kitchener, Ontario from May 16 – 25, 2008 will be available to the general public through a lottery system.
The public lottery has been introduced as majority of tickets have already been purchased by Kitchener Rangers season ticket holders and the Canadian Hockey League and its member teams. The Lottery will be the only way that CHL fans from across the country can have access to tickets for the event.
This opportunity has been made possible through the Kitchener Rangers construction of additional permanent seating and reserved standing locations at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium. Along with the reserved seating expansion, general standing room areas will be expanded that will allow additional opportunities for fans to attend the championship.
TICKET PACKAGES Ticket packages include game tickets to all championship games (up to nine games), GST, and a voucher for an official tournament program.
Successful lottery entry winners will also have the option to purchase a ticket(s) to the Kitchener Rangers Memorial Cup Alumni Charity Game to be played on Saturday, May 24th.
Fans will have the opportunity to indicate the types of ticket packages they are interested in purchasing from the following options:
• Reserved seating championship ticket package; $498.00
• Reserved standing at ice, concourse and media levels championship ticket package; $479.00
• General standing at concourse and media levels championship ticket package; $458.00
