Yes, we have a very talented team. It's going to be a great season to follow our Dogs. I am sure once the weather gets a bit cooler we will see a packed house night in night out.

I was talking to a Sudbury fan before the game, Nice guy and seemed to know his OHL. He also said he thinks once it gets colder out that the games will get much much busier.

Yeah, I talked with a Sudbury fan today as well. He and his daughter try to get to a couple of road trip during the year. He was a pleasure to talk to. Said we are lucky to get a team like the Dogs and that he really liked our barn...

i watched the game on Tv today...and I agree...we have great players... they are on the play alot..and using their brains...they anticipate the other teams plays...and that is very evident the more games I watch...we are truly a contender...

I think the sky is the limit... just think, today was the first day for our full squad to play together. Just wait til the guys have a few practices under their belts and everyone has their timing worked out.... going to be AWESOME!

....and just think some of the posters in here where worried about the pre-season...eh? ;)
Word of caution tho the season is long. Every player and team for that matter has its ups and downs, hopefully the good teams downs are not to long.

yes that is so true. 4 games does not a season make.

yeah but you can tell just by the way they play(even after 4 games) they would never be down for long. Just to many offensive threats to hold them all off the scoresheet, good luck with that rest of the league...GO DOGS GO.

The sign of a good team is winning when they dont play their best...yesterday they proved they were a good team.

Yesterday was my first opportunity to see the Dogs play, and found it to bee an awesome game from a fan's perspective. The open-netter at the end was just the icing on the cake.

I think the best strength of the IceDogs is that we don't have to rely heavily on any one player. As injuries occur througout the year, other teams might loose their key guy(s). We've got so much depth that any one (or even two) people out of the lineup isn't going to be a death sentence.

Absolutely. Look at Oshawa.... if Tavares goes down, their season is over. The only thing that I would be concerned about is losing a Dman or two.

Well, obviously it would suck losing a Corrente or Pieterangelo, or Schiestel...however, geez, how many OHL teams can you name where there are THREE drafted NHL defensemen on the roster!? Wow
Watching Pieterangelo skate, is just unreal...I don't know if he will come close to Bryan Fogarty type numbers, however, it is simply unreal thinking back to when I watched the Thunder play, and then, to see Fogarty put up those types of numbers...and then, totally waste his life....so sad.

Pieterangelo isnt even in Fogartys league...
Fogartywas the next greatest hockey player of all time. Unfortunatly.. booze , coke, and strippers took the better of him.
died in a similar fashion to john kordic... coke induced heart attack.

It really is a treat seeing Pietrangelo play. He does make a few mistakes here and there but who doesn't? it's junior. He really reminds me of a larger Tomas Kaberle.
