my first attempt at a custom signature.... first time using photoshop....any hints...

Good Job!! I am trying to teach myself how to use photoshop. I hope to have something to submit sometime soon!

photoshop has sooo many options... like i said this is my first attempt...cause I know nothing...would like to stretch it a bit....burn the icedogs logo in there somewhere...however it's like learning to speak another language... i can fix computers and custom wire a building with cat 5/6 cables...but this stuff...let me tell ya....

i bet ya i know who does stuff with images.... ALPHA.. maybe he can give a quick tutorial in between the 8 000 000 things he does....LOL...

Hehe... Yah between running 5 web sites, remote administering the web server (located in texas), recording all the games, doing the video editing of the clips, shooting the games, editing all the pictures, work, sleep, eat, clean, bathe, keeping up with the posts, answering emails, etc... there's not a lot of time in the day for much (let alone time for myself).

The best way to learn Photoshop is to spend time with only ONE aspect of it before you move on. It's just WAY to encompassing to try and touch on parts of all of it at once.

For basic graphic editing with adding text, learn LAYERS, and layer blending options. Once you add text it automatically is a new layer. THen you can go to layer options and do all sorts of stuff with it. Just play around with it!

Im decent with photoshop and could probably make something. I just don't have it installed on my computer yet. Got to get the disc off a friend.

I've been trying to get the disc for a long time now though.

There is a few examples of things i've done in the past. The "are you ready" work, was supposed to be a wallpaper. It just got frustrating with no quality pictures(did it a LONG time ago), and i just half assed it as you can tell. I love playing around in Photoshop. The Lets Go Icedogs was also before we established our cheer as GO DOGS GO...oh well:)

Only one other sports one: http://www.baystreetbullies.com which I haven't been putting in as much time as previous years on, due to this site. Then 4 other sites beyond those 2, non-sports related (weather, email, file hosting, web hosting / etc)

Thanks! I'll keep putting up all the fights on that site throughout the year, I just won't be able to spend as much time on the commentaries as I used to.

The mohawk! Hehe. Maybe try and add some brigthness then contrast? Just to make it a bit less dark on the photo part. Good job though!
