Has Cogeco finally gone ALL digital?

Channels 2 up to about 91 used to be analog, often filled with more grainyness/static than the digital ones, but now everything seems to be appear like the digital channels.

NEW CHANNELS I DISCOVERED:

This might be old news, but I was searching for Weds. Leaf game on TSN, and wanted to see if it would be on any other channels, and to my suprise ch.928 appeared. I thought it was a pay channel - NOPE.

** ALL CHANNELS ** from 2 and up are on channel 9XX. So ch.2 is 902, ch. 10 is 910, ch.50 is 950, etc...

I thought they were just digital versions of the low channels at first, but thats when I noticed the clarity difference in channels 2-91. Even channels that used to come in BAD here (Space-50, The Score-53) are now coming in much better. BUT... 950 is more grainy than 50, 953 is more grainy/staticy than 53, etc...

So NOW I'm guessing... our former analog (2-91) channels are now on 902-991 and channels 2-91 are now digital.

BUT.. that can't be possible because everyone without a digital receiver wouldn't be able to access their cable TV.

I'll email the guy that runs the TV Cogeco IceDogs games and see if he can direct my email to the correct department and see if I get an answer.

But just to let everyone know, all your low channels 2, 3, etc.. are also available as 902, 903, etc...

Yes...all those 900 channels are analog.

When I had trouble a while back picking up channel 10, I called them and they told me to use 910 (analog version) until problem was fixed. Voila!

reply from Cogeco:
---
We are currently running both digital and analog channels because our
customer survey shows there are still a large portion of the population
with analog televisions. The company feels it would be a large expense
to most home owners if we were to force them to purchase a digital
television as well as a digital box. Seeing that we have decided for the
time being to run both.

I replied asking him if channels 2-85 are now digital for digital customers and channels 9xx are now analog. THat LOOKS how it is, as far as picture quality.
