I was reading my beloved school's newspaper while at school today and found that after only 4 games, Niagara IceDog fans are being "called-out" persay for being too quiet. I'm not one to get riled up over other people's opinions but I mean after only 4 games, and commenting on this after only going to 1 of them and that one being a Sunday afternoon, just doesn't seem right. Anyway, here it is people! Let's prove this journalist wrong!

My first thought about the article was that I thought journalists were suppose to be neutral. Ms Kaminski makes no bones about going to the game to cheer on the Sudbury Wolves... What happened to unbiased reporting?
She does make a good point. I do believe that Bones needs to get more involved and in turn get the fans more involved in the game. Granted, there have only been 3 home games, the game day off-ice entertainment is not static, it is always changing. I think that once Bones get more comfortable with interacting with the crowd you will see a great difference.
As for the team not being into it???? Gimme a break. They may not have had a stellar second period (which was very fortunate for her Wolves or the final would have been 10-4 or worse), the team did not seem indifferent in the least.
No children stalking (very bad term by the way.. great writing skills Ms Kaminski) the players??? Boy what game did she go to? I am about 15-20 feet from the Dogs bench and there are ALWAYS kids around there. Actually, Legein game a kid a broken stick and he signed it after the game...GOOD SHOW Legein!!!!
Ms Kaminski if you like the great white north so much, why dont you take your (poor) writing skills and return there when/if you graduate. Do us all a favor, please dont attend anymore IceDogs games. We are looking for fans that WANT to cheer on the home team.

Haha, I'll end up being given this as my moto, but as I've said before....
Fine! He can go back up to Sudbury and shovel snow all winter! Good riddens!
As for not being involved... c'mon, lets call it like it is. It wasn't the most exciting game we've seen played. One of few that will be like that throughout the year I'm sure. But not EVERY game is going to be two big rivalries going head to head.
As for face painting.... yet another thing to add to IceDogFans' wish-list of merchandise: press-on decals for the kids. Maybe set up a booth where they can quickly have a black eye patch painted over their face and the rest of the face white, I dunno. Bones on the cheeks, etc..<JOKING><KIND of>

It was a "SHE" that wrote the article not a "HE" lol
Press on decals are available. I have seen many people in my section with the decals on their arms, their faces, their foreheads etc
I agree, not a very exciting game (because it was Sudbury??), that was definately one of the reasons the crowd didnt get into it.
