St. Catharines, ON General Manager Dave Brown announced today that the Niagara IceDogs have traded forward Stefan Manojlovic to the Sudbury Wolves for an 11th round pick in the 2008 OHL draft. The 64 215lb forward was drafted by the IceDogs in the 5th round (89th overall) of the 2005 OHL draft. Manojlovic played 20 games with the IceDogs during the 2006-07 season before a serious injury forced him to miss the remainder of the year. Stefan has spent the current season with the Hamilton Red Wings of the Ontario Provincial Junior A Hockey League.
The IceDogs organization would like to thank Stefan for his time and dedication over the past couple seasons. said IceDogs Dave Brown. He is an extremely hard worker and committed team player who will be a good addition to the Wolves lineup. We felt this would provide him with an opportunity to get more ice time with a younger OHL team while also assisting us in stockpiling more resources for future seasons.
