LOL spelled Worcester, it's pronounced Woo-ster by most outside of New England, and Wis-tah by New Englanders (they say Worcester doesn't rhyme with rooster. Doesn't look like it should either, LOL)

Anyway, best of luck to him in Mass!

Hopefully this increases his chance to play in the NHL, and gets him away from the mess that is the New Jersey Devils.

So I had been wondering where Michael Swift was playing this year, as I could not locate him the AHL at all this year. I hope he is enjoying his time, playing in Korea, as I found him here:

http://www.eurohockey.com/league/353-asia-league.html?season=2012

Swifty is currently leading the Asia League Hockey League in scoring, with 34 goals, 34 assists, 68 points, in 26 games, for the "High1" team. He also has 36 PIMS.

Interesting to note, that a former NHLer, Richard Jackman, also plays in this league, which mostly has Korean and Japanese players.

The last place team, China Dragon, have allowed 170 goals in 24 games, good for a 7.00 goals against average!

I checked out their roster, and, it looks like there is at least one, maybe two other guys, on the roster, who speak english, WOW!

Check it out.

So I'm guessing Toskala is also playing for that team.

DOH!

I would have to agree!!! I would assume there are not a stampede of scouts at the games. Perhaps the $$$ are better than what he was making.

Maybe he has relatives there.

As I understand it the guys who play overseas make a fairly decent living.

For a young man to be able to play hockey make a decent living and travel the world like he is, I would say is not a bad deal...

Wish Swift the best of the luck in Asia, would be nice to see him back in Niagara sometime
