They're holding a similar poll on the official site, but some crutial (ie: Friday) options are not on it, so if we could get as many people as possible to vote here, we can forward the results over to them. Thanks for voting!
I think Friday nights would have a larger crowd than Thursdays because more people would have Saturday off, and the younger kids could come out to the game because no school the next day.
The ONLY drawback I can see with pay Friday nights, is that playing Friday, then Sunday - that's Mon/Tue/Wed/Thur with no hockey!! Bunches it up a bit, but I think it would still work out better for attendance.

I vote for it to remain status quo. Thursday night and Sunday afternoon.
BTW, great idea to do this here and forward the data to the Dogs front office. good thinking!

I like Friday night games so I voted for that but I'm still fine with Thursday if it stays this way...

No option for Sunday evenings?

No option for Sunday evenings?
I thnk that's why they're doing the poll - to get away from night games where the next day is a work/school day. I know when I'm starting work at 6am and need to get up at 4:30-5am, I don't like doing *anythying* the night before :)

Yeah I feel that generally Sunday evenings are spent in a state of rest for what is about to be the crappiest day of the week... Monday

I agree...the Thurs. games to start at 7:00 is something they should take a serious look at. I'm sure they must have access to people who have done studies on this kind of thing.
From a personal, non-educated (lol) viewpoint, I would think that the earlier start would get people home at a descent time. I know it's only a 1/2 hour, but even that can make a difference. Still, I doubt it would create much more attendance because of it. If you really want to go see the game...you go.
The idea posted of Sunday evenings until NFL is over and then Sunday afternoons intrigues me. That might be worth a longer look. Hmmm.

Saturday nights on TV we have Hockey Night in Canada, Sunday afternoons we have football. Between those two things I'm curious which time slot would produce bigger crowds at Icedog games. Personally I would prefer giving up watching Leaf games on Saturday nights to go see the Dogs as I love watching football on Sunday afternoons. The Leafs play during the week as well, the NFL for the most part doesn't.

I am a die hard NHL fan. I dont mind missing watching games Sunday afternoon at all. Heck, AlphaDog has a picture of me checking scores on my phone during one of the Dogs games. As long as I can check scores I am ok. Much rather watch the IceDogs games live than NFL on TV.

Yah, a 7PM (or even 6:30) start on weekday nights would be better.

Im down for 7. I think 630 is cutting close for people who work.... don't want to be rushed...

I agree. I dont think an earlier start than 7 is feasible. we have to remember that not everyone that comes to these games are from St Catharines. I met someone that comes from Hamilton for every home game and then there are those that come down from Mississauga to see the Dogs.
In all honesty, while discussion is good, it is entirely up to the OHL to set schedules and start times.

I myself do not really care what time I go, Im the boss at my work and go where and when i want.
I want to see the team do well and think that a saturday afternoon would be good, With the football aspect on sunday saturday might be a good thing.
As for the time 7.00 pm would be good as a start time.
Mind you I think that with all the empty seats somedays , childrens ticket should be made avaliable and cheaper.
I aways said you can't resell an empty seat, better to have a body in it than nothing at least you have the chance to create a sale for something other than the seat.
My Idea would be wait till 10 minute mark of first period then start letting in people for a discount, after 2nd starts wait till 10 min mark and let them in for free.
Full house sounds better than 2/3 of one.
So back to thursday night's and saturday afternoon.

With that youll then have the cheap people waiting until that point to buy their tickets = lost ticket sales. because who cares about missing 10 mins if you can save half the ticket price? and then youll have LESS people in the seats to start the game. and then youll get the really cheap people who just show up halfway through the game because they know they can get in free. the end of the game is the most exciting part. i see what you mean but your idea has a few flaws. id rather have butts in the seats too but i think they are doing fine right now. things will pick up once it gets colder.

Was just a thought on my part there will always be cheapskates, how about letting kids in at a discount?.
Anyways we will see how the numbers climb or not.
I for one will be there , going on my own road trip to windsor this week.
