Does anyone know when the actual JERSEYS will go on sale??? I also hope they come up with some more flashy shirts and whatnots.. the current t-shirts and a bit simple. Plain shirt with their logo small on the front. Ehh.. I'll still buy them if there's nothing else in the future of course.

But I really can't wait to get my hands on an actual jersey. Maybe they're waiting until the team actually needs them (closer to pre-season).

Yeah i will be getting one as soon as they go on sale. Intrested to see what they look like as well. I got one of the shirts out right now.

Just got an email from the dogs...and they are getting merchandise soon...stuff will be posted on their web site when ready to be released to the public.

Personally I still like the mississauga logo better... more of a rough and mean looking dog.... but that doesn't change the support for the dogs.

As much as I loved the old jerseys, I think they really have to try and create there own identity. This is our team and I would like to have it all brand new just for us.

Doesn't look too bad (I got that flyer in my mailbox last week I think). Maybe make the dog logo bigger so it covers most of the front and I think it'll be a pretty good looking jersey.

On the topic of the IceDogs having 'commical' jerseys - almost all the OHL jerseys have the same "comic type" logos: Barrie has a cartoonish horse, Belleville a cartoon bull, Brampton a cartoon army dude, Erie a cartoon Otter, Ottawa a cartoon puck with big teeth, Plymouth a cartoon whale although it could be mistaken for a black sperm, Sudbury a cartoon wolf, etc, etc...

I think the Dogs' bull terrier with a fierce look in his teeth is actually one of the better ones!

lol. I always liked that whalers logo and this is the first time i've ever heard anyone say it resembled a sperm but now that I look at it, I guess i can see what your saying.

The Dog looks more like he is smiling or grinning.

while i don't hate or love the new icedogs mascot logo, it really is not that bad. the sudbury wolves one looks like a grade 8 drawing( and not the kid in grade 8 that draws really well). the previous icedogs logo reminds me of finnigan (from mr dressup) on crack, and i don't hate or love it ether i just don't think it is better. and as for the first icedogs logo i think it is the most horrendous logo ever. and i believe mr burke kept the name icedogs out of respect for the Mississauga fans.

I agree. The Sudbury Wolves logo looks like it was drawn in school. Burke probably thought if he kept the icedogs name, Mississauga fans might come down to St.Kitts to watch the Dogs instead of having to follow the Majors.

As far as our new logo goes...it's not the worst I've ever seen.
At first I was not impressed at all with it...very cartoony (is that a word?). Now it's kinda...sorta...maybe...growing on me a bit. I'm not bothered near as much as before by it. I still think the dog should have a meaner, tougher look on his face, though.

Hell, on Thursday's game there was only maybe 250-350 people there and parking as bad EVEN THEN. I got a great spot right out front - there were 10 spots open which nobody was parking in for some reason. Said 2hr parking... I was fine.

But come season time it's going to SUCK. I was just looking on Google Earth and it's actually quite a friggin walk from the lower level parking lot to the arena.

And the neighborhoods behind the arena are some of the worst in the city. I wouldn't want to park my car anywhere down there and leave it for 2.5 hrs.

THey should just level that bloody park/forest on the other side of those apartments and put up a 6 level garage :p

Well because it reminds me of the good ole days...the Flyers did win the Memorial Cup IMHO.

I was at the office yesterday. They are planning an unveiling of the new sweater, but just dont know when as of yet. They havent decided if it will be prior to the first home exhibition game (tomorrow night) or before the first home game. Personally, I hope it is before tomorrow night's game. Hopefully they will make an announcement soon.
