**Notice: PLEASE MAKE PREDICTIONS IN THE FOLLOWING FORMAT:**
(TEAM) over (TEAM) on (DAY)

Standings - After Week 4 (Nov. 13 - Nov. 19)

Poster standings will be updated after each week(end).

Alright guys, TheQuietOne has helped me out and there are now some new rules to make it more interesting!!! Here they are....

I've seen something like this on different boards with a twist: you get 5 "points" each week in order to bet on games (Team only, no scores). Maximum bet is one point per game, but they carry over to the next week. If you have more points than games available, you're allowed to start betting two per game. The catch, much like vegas: if you lose the game, you lose your bet.

Overtime games and shootouts count as ties. To pick win, it must be a regulation win. If you think it will go to overtime or shootout, pick tie.

For OHL purposes, a week ends on Monday and begins on Tuesday.

Example: Week 1, you have 5 points and you bet on 5 games. If you win 4, you now have 8 points, plus the additional 5 that you get in week 2, for a total of 13. You bet on 13 games that week, win 10 of them for a total of 20, plus the additional 5 points given in week 3. With 25 points, you now have enough to bet more than one point on some of the games, if you desire. So on and so on. Most points at the end of the season wins.

Let the predicting begin! I know we all want the dogs to win.. but will they? :P

I understand Junior hockey is a little less predictable, but it makes it fun!

Question for all you guys... did you want to predict like 2 or 3 games a night to make it a little more interesting... only on nights that the 'Dogs play though. Let me know and we can step it up!

Hehe, this is kinda cool. I don't have the time right now, but if you guys want to keep score (ItsGameTime can keep editing the 1st post to keep a score list there), and I can make this a sticky thread so it's always at the top, and post a link to it from the main page if people are interested.

Yup, that is correct! The amount of games you are allowed is determined by how many points you have. Since we have all just started we all only have 5, but the more points you get the more you can bet. You can start betting more than 1 on a game when you have more points than games available!

Here's my understanding of the rules:

- We get 5 points at the start of every week. I think that means that everyone should have an odd number of points.
- You have to bet on as many games as you have points. After that, you have to put multiple points on each game, such that you are wagering your entire stash every week.

Not everyone is going to have an odd number of points because if someone gets 6 of 9 right that means they got 12 points plus the 5 to start the week plus an odd score from the week before means an even score to start the week....

Edit: I realized that I did the calculations wrong.

A few interpretations, if you will:
- If you have fewer points than games on the schedule, you're only allowed to predict as many games as you have points.
- If you predict more games than you have points, I will only score games up to the number of points that you have.
- If you do not make picks in a week, you will not get the extra 5 points.
- New players start with 5 points, but there are still plenty of weeks to catch up!
