Apple Desktops - New iMacs

Does anyone on this site have an iMac desktop? If so, how does it run? Would you recommend it? My laptop is going on 3 years old and in technology days that's a long time. I MIGHT be in the market for a new computer and I was considering an iMac. I paid 2,200 for the laptop I have right now and its very lightly equipped I could probably get this same laptop for 1000 maybe less now. Anyway, any thoughts on the matter would be helpful, thanks!

if you can afford an imac... go for it... i have yet to service one... they are great machines...reliable...fast... you do get what you pay for... do your research... ask alot of questions... and test them out....i dont think you will be disappointed.... the laptops are awsome too... you can run windows xp as a program on them... amazing stuff i say....

I have been using Macs faithfully since the first bondi blue iMac in the 90's.

We currently run a mac mini desktop and a macbook. Love them, no complaints.

What size screen are you getting??

Not sure what size im getting as of yet. Im going to guess the 20" 2.0 ghz model. i would love to get the 24" model but either way im not complaining!
