That many teams? More likely a "pay to play" style of tournament to keep the numbers down to something manageable. I doubt any locale could handle every team in the CHL.

There isn't enough money to be made in an ultra short season either. There may be some clubs that could afford that scenario and I believe Niagara is one of them, but the majority could not.
