Blues Will Loan Pietrangelo to Canada for WJC

The St. Louis Blues have notified D-man Alex Pietrangelo that they will loan him to Canada for the upcoming World Junior Championships. Pietrangelo will head to the camp on December 12th.

The Blues will make a decision on Pietrangelo's future with the Blues following the WJC.

He will obviously remain with the Blues up until the camp begins.

Former Blues 2nd rounder Jake Allen has a very strong shot at making Team Canada as their starting goaltender.

Blues prospects Phillip McRae (London) and David Warsofsky (Boston Univ.) will attend Team USA camp later this month. Both McRae and Warsofsky wre 2008 draft picks of the Blues.

Wisconsin D-man and St. Louis native John Ramage will also attend Team USA camp.

The American camp begins December 16th in North Dakota.

Blues 2009 first rounder David Rundblad will represent his native Sweden in the upcoming Tournament.
