Personally I was never in favour of them sacrificing so much. This isnít because I donít think they have the potential to win the league. Itís because even if they do win this year, next year will still be difficult to watch and an OHL championship banner hanging in the rafters will do little to ease the pain of watching the team get blown away night after night.

I look at it this way

The core before the trades was good, but based on what we had to give away to make it really good, I don’t think the core was good enough to win it all... and our biggest weakness (goal) was never really addressed ... So I’m not sure it was the right move to go all in, especially when you look at what we have to beat to get to the finals, who IMO are much stronger than us in the most important position. On the ice ... in goal!

I think too we really got fleeced particularly in the Oshawa trade .... IMO Brassard hasn’t really been that good, Studnicka has been very good, BUT we gave them what could very well be a budding OHL superstar on the back end in the coming years ... and a boatload of oicks to boot!

How many games this year has our team played with a full lineup, due to all the injuries?
The IceDogs' current roster has NOT played one single game with a full lineup!

To answer your question in part, you would have to go back to the IceDogs roster prior to the Christmas break (minus Studnicka and Brassard). That particular roster played 6 games completely healthy (or not missing players due to World Juniors) - and they won all 6 of those games.
