For sure! Fell down less often too! Now he just needs to learn how to shoot...

IMO if the next 3 games are like tonight this thing is over in 4 easily we shut Brazeau down tonight and NB doesn’t have much else and I don’t think Propp can do what he did tonight 3 or more times

IceDogs bottle up Battalion
By Bill Potrecz
https://www.bpsportsniagara.ca/icedo...-up-battalion/

IceDogs head coach Billy Burke was thrilled with the buy-in from his charges at both ends of the rink. Burke said. “If we come across a high scoring one, great. We aren’t expecting them so we need to be able to play strong defence and go from there.”

Jack Studnicka was impressed with the fans, but tonight is only the tip of the iceberg.

Zero imagination. But on the bright side, I saved $10!

The Dogs spent a massive amount of time in the o- zone, as was evident by the shot clock. I kept looking over at the clock, just amazed at the discrepancy in shots(something like 23-2 at one point). Christian Propp was the ONLY reason that game wasn’t a ridiculous blowout. 2-0 could easily have been 6-0. I was glad Propp got a star tonight, as he certainly earned one. My only fear was that the Battalion would bang one in, and then it’s a 2-1 nailbiter the rest of the way.
But NB just never had the puck. I wonder if you could have timed the Dogs every second they had the puck in NB’s end. I’ll bet it was 40 minutes plus that the Dogs had the puck on their sticks, past centre and into NB’s end. It was just unreal

Dogs were by far the better team tonight - they skated circles around NB - Brady Johnson had a great game, our defenders did their job very well stalling the NB offence at the blue line, the Dogs controlled the puck and got the job done. Same game plan for Saturday - shut them down and skate! All the dogs were in the kennel tonight!!

Good fast game last night but tense game that had my blood pressure up from the opening faceoff.
Our boys played the full 60 minutes,
Goaltending was the key last night also.

Game two tomorrow night.!!!!!

Would be nice to get Sopa back

Also noticed no walking boot on, saw him on the concourse

That must be one of our better first game of the playoffs home crowds at the MCU. Sold out and not many empty seats.

I get that Brazeau had a great OA year, a monster year, and he’s got NHL size and plays a physical game ... is he worth being signed ? His skating is very slow ... maybe that develops still as he gets older but I doubt it ... can’t imagine he can play in today’s NHL.

Enjoyable game

Reminder to me: do not come to a playoff game with your entire family again ... lest you be forced to leave with seven minutes left and a 2-0 lead when the wife declares “the game is over” and the kids are claiming to be “tired”

Hehehehe

She hasn’t seen some of the stinkers good ol Stevie can let in!

Yes, great crowd and pre-game to get the boys and fans pumped up.

There's a reason why Brazeau was never drafted, and still hasn't signed. Skating.

And the new game definitely isn't big and slow. It's all about speed.

Brazeau may sign as a free agent with someone, and may play in the ECHL or get a game or two in the AHL, but will never play in the NHL.

The IceDogs pretty much made Brazeau look invisible last night.
