Moore did not return to the bench to start the third period after first blocking a shot and then taking a high hit from the Wolves pesky forward Darian Pilon in the middle stanza. He now has more goals than Thomas with 10% of his icetime. Castleman fan club fact of the day.

Also a fun fact, Thomas nearly has the same number of assists this season (13) in nine games than Castleman had all of last season (15) in 64 games.

In all seriousness, it’s good to see Castleman playing effectively the way he has. It’s great depth, and even better for next season when we are looking at a mass exodus of departures.

Jonesy, Kirill the Thrill, Lodnia and possibly Thomas, as well. (I have a hunch that if Thomas does not make the LA Kings next season, he may be traded to secure future assets and prospects.) Players like Phillip and Castleman need to step up and show the staff and management that they are worth the OAs spots for next season.

Castleman also has one of the highest shot to goal ratios and fifth highest point totals this year. The point OCV wasn't to knock the almighty from his perch but to give a little bit of credit to a lunchbox player who gets shuffled all over the lineup, limited time and zero endorsement. Castleman, Johnson and Phillip are underrated entities who should be given more credit and stability in their assignments.

You should get bad feelings before games more often. Your nephew plays his best game when you're not around!
