This is why you don’t empty the prospect cupboard to acquire one player. This is dealing from a position of weakness, and the IceDogs are paying the price.
Defence is where I would have upgraded this team. The offence is good, with or without Miletic. They did not need to pay what they did to upgrade a position that didn’t need upgrading. If the Dogs make the playoffs, it’s their lack of defence that’s going to kill them.

We stand a real chance now of finishing 5th in the East looking at the remaining fixtures. Our D continuously fail to clear the zone and try to skate themselves out of the D zone rather than play a simple pass to the centres that are flying through the neutral zone.

Another thing that disturbed me yesterday was why Billie went with 7D? Was this just to allow Thomas to double-shift and try to get more points? Why would you do that? I am also surprised that they moved Miletic off the Jones-Maksimov line when it was working so well. That line was dominating every shift. Switching Corneil and Miletic may have helped Thomas, but now you have 2 lines that are not performing as well as they were previously. Why change what is working? Even against strong teams they were doing well. And why oh why was Philip playing with Thomas and Miletic when Singer has been so hot recently?

I still see things about the coaching of this team that shows a lack of experience and I still see them trying all they can to highlight one player, at the detriment of the team. Also, Stevie D is not having the season he was last year. We need Inzce to be strong next year too - why is he not getting a fair break? its not like he has performed any worse than Stevie?

I don't get it... but I guess that is why I am just a spectator and not a coach!
A low point? It sucks but itís been worse. Not winning the division could actually be better for the team the 7 D thing could be for bunch of reasons that arenít hard to understand the rookies still need to play so someone has to come out that has 0 effect on the way the game went. You realize Sam was on Akils wing Thursday as well right? The team is in a slump and thatís when lines get played with. Of course you still see lack of experience Billy is still in his rookie year as a HC and is going through everything for the first time. When do they try to highlight one player exactly they are doing anything they can to try and win. Unfortunately Incze is getting a fair break Steve is playing games a starter should (except when he hurt himself) Iím glad no one on here is the coach Iíd be very scared to watch those teams

I remember when they had a older Guy back there earlier in the year then they traded him and pretty much everyone said they were happy cause the D is ready. This team is going to make the playoffs and they are good enough to get to where they want to get to come playoffs but the GOALIE needs to stop the easy ones

I don't remember reading people say the D is ready. I remember people grew tired of Shankar being slow, lazy, out of position and taking bad penalties.

I remember everyone saying a 16 year old can do that, we don't need a 20 year old doing it.

I would just like to add that Singers hot play recently has all come with the man advantage and NOT on 5-5 play.

...and that it is a set play where Singer's role is essentially stick on the ice, and bump every puck towards the net. If Josh HoSang is watching highlights he is probably wondering where his bump-man was lol.
