I guess he covets a Sutherland Cup more than a Memorial Cup.

I think part of the reason he bought the Icedogs was to help his other junior teams, whether that being drafting players with the intend of them playing for his other junior teams or using the OHL call up carrot to entice players.

Another meaningless trade. Icedogs acquire the rights of another Brantford 99ers player. https://niagaraicedogs.net/article/t...m-peterborough

Big, 17 year old defenseman sounds great......but we don't know the conditions so we dont know the actual price.

what we do know, is he is already in Brantford....which just looks like more of the same. Using OHL assets to boost a Jr team.

They have been playing shorthanded on D, so hopefully this is someone they can utilize on the OHL team.

This also screams that Littlejohn and Douglas-Najem have likely been released. Obviously this isn't for sure, but at some point they would have played instead of 4 or 5 d if the team had any interest in them.

Get your buddy Matt to ask these questions. Instead of him asking what is your favorite colour or what is your favorite pizza topping? Get him to do ask some real questions. He's been crying about lack of media access from the new guy, so what does he have to lose?

I could care less what any team does with a 15th round pick. In the world of draft currency this is a box of pucks.

Very well, in fact I wore his jersey the entire time he was here.

He was on the record as going to play elsewhere and could easily have been drafted higher by us or anyone else. That was a fluke unless everyone converts 15th into a signee lol.

My point is, 15th is usually the last of the "friends and family" rounds, or where you take a flyer and they miraculously report. I am not convinced the call up and send down method will work but I am not going to cry over a 15th.
