Last year due to Covid, playing on a b card was extended to 20 games. I would assume it’s back to 10 games this season.

Players don’t need to be signed to one of the 30 cards until the regular season starts. That is likely why all of the trades were made prior to the start of the season. That is also likely why Constanzo is not on the regular season roster. They plan to trade him and do not want to burn a card.

I would actually suggest that as the season progresses the smart goalie trade is Rosensweig.

If Flores is able to deliver the goods as a legitimate starter, Rosensweig has the best trade value to a possible contender. Flores is a year younger and Costanzo is a year younger than him, so that sets the table for the future.

From my POV, all 3 are good goaltenders and any combination of two of them would suit this (not ready for prime time) team adequately.

A few highlight reel saves leading up to the trade deadline and a team that sees itself as a contender should offer a pretty good return on him.

Looks like another trade coming soon. If true, this trade is crazy! I guess a player who scored 18 goals as a rookie isn’t good enough for the Icedogs.

Brice Cooke scored 18 goals a year ago in Niagara. Tonight he is scratched. Well I said a forward was likely to be dealt and it is apparently him. I hear Cooke is heading to Mississauga for three picks; two of which I believe are 5ths.
