Rd 2 - Cooke - Traded Away
Rd 3 - Roobroeck - Traded Away
Rd 5 - Struthers - Traded Away

I remember being excited by this draft because it gave us 4 players from the first 3 rounds of the draft. I thought this would be the group to build around for the future. Now that is all gone. What a shame.

No, the Icedogs still have lots of cards left for more trades. The trades before opening night don't use up any cards and I suspect Cooke was not on a card either as he never played a regular season game for us. They had 23 men on their roster and just added Keane so they likely have 6 cards left.

Its been said 100 times before, he can't move the team because of the lease he has with the city. The only way he could move the team is if the city gave him permission to break the lease. And the only way the city will give him permission to break the lease is if another team is willing to move into the MC and the city thinks the new owner will be better than the current owner....oh wait....doesn't every OHL team have a better owner....

This reminds me of when Milton had a team in the OJHL. This guy from Brantford comes along and tries to buy the Milton team and move it to Brantford. The sale gets rejected by the league but the new owner appeals. The league then allows him to buy the Milton team on the condition he doesn't move it. The team stays in Milton for the season but is moved to Brantford the following year. On opening night, the league doesn't send any refs and tells the owner he doesn't have permission to play in Brantford. The team moves back to Milton but so much damage has been done the league eventually allows the team to move back to Brantford a couple months into the season. Oh wait....that owner was DeDobbelaer.

But like everyone says, he won't move the team to Brantford. We had the fourth highest attendance in the league. And I am sure DeDobbelaer is a logical person who thinks everything through and would never make a decision based on how he feels.

This is going to get really ugly. They're not going to be able to sell if this continues to go south(which it will). What are they going to do when players start demanding trades like they inevitably will as it becomes clearer this ownership is a joke?

I don’t think Cooke counts, not sure about Costanzo. If they don’t count, it gives them 5. Which will get him to Halloween before he runs out at this pace.
