I remember being excited by this draft because it gave us 4 players from the first 3 rounds of the draft. I thought this would be the group to build around for the future. Now that is all gone. What a shame.

Time to start revisiting the trades. I think it is starting to look like the Dogs horsesh*t scouting staff dropped the ball in this draft.
It is still early in these players careers and they did miss a season due to Covid which has done harm to their development but lets look at this season stats:

Fimis 17 6 10 16 -7
Leonard 18 1 2 3 +2
Cooke 17 3 0 3 -10
Roob 18 3 8 11 3
Struthers 14 0 0 0 -5
These are essentially year three players although they are only into their second season of play. Outside of Fimis who I would say has not been a disappointment, the other three forwards have been massive busts given where they were selected.

I am shocked that Cooke has been that bad and shocked that Roobroeck has as many points as he does. I thought Cooke looked great as a rookie. Maybe we can get him back for Pennies on the dollar? Lol Struthers I never thougtt he was any good to begin with but he had nice flow.

The player I miss the most is Leonard I thought he was pretty good and I certainly would take him on this team over Ribau who I think is awful and Keane who I think is not all that great for an OA d

I think in a nutshell what is looking like a disaster that is the 2020 draft is a big part of why this team is what it is. If say three of these picks were bona fide OHL stars I do not think the dummy in the GM chair trades them, and we arent 20th overall, maybe 17th, lol.
