Fan optimism is always good . However, when you take a look at the two rosters (demographics and the number of NHL drafted players), the Ice Dogs have a huge challenge in front of them.

Veteran Players (97-98): Hamilton – 13 vs Niagara – 3 (maybe 6)
NHL Drafted-Signed: Hamilton – 9 vs Niagara - 3

Ice Dogs
97 S. Miletic (Pitts)
97 J. Corniel
97 A. Carbonara - INJURED
98 W. Lochead
98 K. Langdon – SUSPENDED
98 J. Schaefer – INJURED

-------------------------------
99 K. Maksimov (Edm)
99 B. Jones (VGS)

=================

99 B. Johnson
99 D. Singer
99 M. Phillips
99 O. Castleman
99 L. Ham
99 E. Roberts
99 D. Hunter
00 J. McPherson
00 A. Thomas
00 A. Bruder
01 P. Tomasino
01 B. Constantinou

Now, checkout Hamilton’s team…
97 Lemke, Justin
97 Moore, Ryan
97 Walters, Connor

98 Fulcher, Kaden (Det.)
98 Studenic, M (NJ)
98 Mattinen, Nicolas (Tor)
98 Bitten, W (Mtl)
98 Stillman, R (Fld)
98 Caamano, N (Dallas)

98 Saigeon, Brandon
98 Burnell, Owen
98 Hanley, Jack
98 Gleason, Ben

--------------------------------------
99 Robert Thomas (St.L)
99 Strome, Matthew (PHI)
99 Entwistle, MacKenzie (ARZ)

=====================

99 Landry, Kade
99 Garagan, Ben
99 Nurse, Isaac
99 Jackson, Zachary
01 Kaliyev, Arthur

It’s great to be part of some April hockey again!
Go Dogs!

We can jot down all of the stats that are available to us, but, when push comes to shove; on the ice, my gut feeling is that Niagara will upset Hamilton's plans for a long playoff run.

I said from day one that we would go down in the second round but, today, my gut, once again, tells me .... upset.

This gut-feeling has absolutely nothing to do with cheeseburgers (we have not had that many this season)

It's all about the good gut-feeling.

So much for the theory that the OHL tries to stay from game days for the draft.

All good
