From Twitter - "We would like to thank Kyle Langdon (@kylelangdon7) and Will Lochead for all they’ve contributed to our team. We wish you both the very best of luck in the future. Remember, once a ‘Dog, always a ‘Dog!" Guess we're not keeping either of them.

Now the London question. Do they try and trade Willy to London assuming he would consider playing there while going to school?
Really too bad he's not coming back. I thought he had a good shot at being named the captain this year. |

My thoughts are that Willie would have worn an "A" this coming season with the "C" being worn by Jones.

You could try and trade him assuming they didn’t release the rights to him but like almost every trade involving London they probably won’t give up anything good

Right now, Willie is gone and we got nothing for him. Should London have interest in Willie and were to offer a decent return, I would make a deal with the evil empire. This way, there would be something to show for Willie.
If the offer is almost zero, then let Willie play for the University team. Last edited by retired/sectionJ; 07-12-2018 at 03:10 PM. Reason: spelling correction |

FYI 2018-2019 OA List Post #1 - UPDATED (As of July 12, 2018) Based on last years’ rosters, there are 101 OAs for 60 spots. However, of those 101 players: a. 31 of them are SIGNED NHL players likely moving onto pro hockey in 2018-2019. b. 7 IMPORTS: 6 are not returning to the OHL – 1 returning (A. Michnac, Saginaw). c. 16 are UNSIGNED NHL drafted players – at least *4 are likely to earn ELC and move on to pro hockey. d. an unknown number of OAs will not return (e.g., K. Langdon and W. Lochead). Approximately 58 or less returning OAs. So, in terms of “Supply and Demand” – it is tilted towards “Demand” in 2018-2019. |

The complete list of potential 2018-2019 OAs – POST #1 UPDATED (As of September 20, 2018) to include those not returning to the OHL, those who have been released or moving on and the few that may still return.
Potential OAs, the IceDogs should consider… 1. F - Brandon Saigeon (Col): Local boy, shoots left, a goal scorer, great on the PP, Ice Dogs are a contenders – seems like a perfect fit? 2. D - Connor Hall (Pit): If healthy, Hall is big, strong and mean - possibly the least expensive of this group. 3. D - Sean Durzi (Tor): If returned to the OHL, Durzi is a number 1. 4. D - Jordan Sambrook (Det): If returned, Sambrook is also a number 1. 5. OTHER D: Cole Candela (Van); Nic Mattinen (Tor/Ott); Trent Bourque (St.L) |

Coach Billy stated on Wednesday evening on Cogeco TV that we were not in a rush to bring in an overage player at this time.
I still believe that we need two impact overage players The bottom line here in my opinion is that if Niagara does not go after one or two of these players, Ottawa and or Oshawa will. |
