Fantastic interview. Its like they scrolled thru all the complaints on this message board and addressed each one of them head on. That was not a soft ball interview. It may have been scripted or something but he was asked all the hard questions and they were answered. Ya might not like the answers but they were answers.

I love how they asked DeDobbelaer about the rumours that the players are not being looked after while on the road and if players will report to the team next year. To be honest I don’t think I have ever read an interview where the media has asked those type of questions. I give credit for DeDobbelaer for answering the questions but I hope he also gets the hint that people know things are not going well and he needs to change as an owner or this franchise will continue to get worse.

Very disappointed that he is not planning to hire a GM. The fact that he actually wants to be a buyer at the trade deadline and the team is in dead last place shows that he has no idea how to run an OHL team. Has an OHL team in last place ever been a buyer at the deadline?

How can he buy when he has no cards left?

Staying at the Hilton is more than fine. I think the issue is he is avoiding staying anywhere when he can.

Several players allegedly want out and again he has almost 0 cards left and won't be able to accommodate them. Unless this coach can work some magic, this is going to get way worse before it gets better.

I will be stunned if his bid wins and I think both firsts, He, Vermuelen and Copeland go if it does. Don't worry though they won't have to rebuild.

That interview solidifies the fact that he has no idea how the league works, or how to manage assets and he's delusional when it comes to how many assets he actually has.

He says how they have all of their picks next year. Great! How are next years 16 yr olds going to help you?

Unless you trade the two first rounders at the deadline?

Are you going to tell the league you're going to do that? Otherwise, a simple check of the cupboard will show he doesn't have the future (assets) to build a contender. (He does know he can't trade any of next years 16 yr olds other than the first rounders. Right?)

Flores? You're pinning your Memorial Cup hopes on Owen Flores?

An interm coach still counts as a coach. Did he not try to get them to play a certain way/system. Did he not have his own lines?

I also love when they ask, “A new owner comes in, they have had three coaches and they are in last place. What do you tell the fans why they should have hope?” Unfortunately DeDobbelaer doesn’t really answer the question except to say that in his opinion we really only had 2 coaches.

You could go through this article answer by answer and show a complete lack of understanding of how the league functions - or even more egregious is you can see obvious lies.

Like this guy wants us to believe he couldn't speak to agents - lol. You own a Junior B team - you had access to all the agents you wanted.
