Nice interview by Mahood again. Kevin He certainly doesn't sound 16.

Will be interesting to see where Kevin He finishes the season in scoring now that he continues to move up the roster with everyone getting traded.

Someone mentioned that Kevin He is in reality our 1st rounder this past year when Sam Dickinson refused to report & was traded to London.

Noted that Adam Fantilli is playing very well at the WJC right now as well as a high NHL pick in June'23

Can our astute statisticians give us his ( & his brother, Luca's ) connection with the Ice Dogs please? I seem to remember Adam
had advertised he would not report if we chose him in the draft & we did not as a result. Saginaw did however & subsequently traded his rights to NB. Details here?

Anyone out there who can give us a history for the Fantilli brothers particularly as it relates to the often discussed 'compensation' rule the OHL has for non reporting top draft pics?
Niagara may have the largest contingent of non reporting 1st round draft pics in the OHL!

IceDogs drafted Luca Fantilli in the U19 draft. Basically they used the U18 draft to try and get a leg up on other teams - https://www.bpsportsniagara.com/iced...yers-at-draft/

Saginaw drafted him late in the first round - 1 pick before London. The entire league knew that London was likely the only ohl team he was going to. Saginaw stepped up and stopped that from happening. They then traded his rights to Northbay for a 6th round pick (they would have recieved a bunch more if he actually showed to NBay) - https://saginawspirit.com/article/tr...-adam-fantilli

That did give them a comp pick for 2022 which is why they picked 1st and 19th last year.

Kevin He was a second round pick and will always be a second round pick

He was also our second selection of the draft

Whoever referred to He as our first round pick quote in reality unquote is technically incorrect

He was and will aways be our second round pick and second selection of the draft

Our first rounder was traded

Of all the deals made by Windsor, this may be the best. Bill Bowler sent 4th and 12th round picks to Niagara for Costanzo, the first goalie taken in the 2021 Draft.

I never understood that one, and then overpaying for a "B" grade goalie from London. Flores was an .875 last year with the Knights and he is an .885 this year.

Joey is doing great in Windsor but if he was here I think his numbers would be around Flores because of the team in front of him

Even if that were true, Costanzo is younger and didn’t cost picks to acquire. Also, if the rumours are true and he asked out, it’s still on the bozo GM to get a decent return. A 4th and a 12th is a joke.
