This is great news for Ryan Strome...he has managed to secure a 3 yr entry level contract with the Islanders and whether he plays the whole season there or just a few games, at least he has made himself some nice cash and has started his career as a professional hockey player. All of us know that he has exceptional skills and were aware that he could be kept up by the Islanders. Good for him and if he comes back...great for us...either way Ryan has been exciting to watch and now we just have to follow his development at a higher level. Williamson will find it very difficult to replace a player of his quality. We need to wish Ryan the very best and thank him for all the wonderful memories...now we need to move on and accept the situation.

Congrats to Ryan on his new contract now we have to sit and wonder if the Isles might send him back this season either way we have to move on and still hope for a great season for our Dogs

Seems like Islander fans are pissed he is on the roster

not a lot of love their and rightfully so. I believe in 3 exhibition games (against lesser talent) he managed 1 shot on net with decent minutes including PP. Doesn't say much for the Islanders if that's all it takes to make their team, as a teenager yet.

They're stupid if they let him go past nine games and waste a year on his entry level deal, unless he's going to be a real difference maker. My guess is we'll see him back in a few weeks. I wouldn't at all be surprised to see him back next year as well.
