For me Alpha another stat that is kinda losing it's appeal is the shots on goal. I look at the quality of shots as appose to the quantity of shots. It seems like every game in the O each team is getting about 35+ shots a night. As for this thread in general I unfortunately agree with a lot of the negative comments. This is just such an important year for not just the team but for us the fans. Lets face it a weak team could mean lesser attendance at the games which could play a role in the new arena. Hopefully we can get Strome back (only the Islanders would pull this stunt) address the issues that need to be addressed and get a relatively healthy roster and see what happens from there.

Actually the Hurricanes are doing the exact same thing with Kitcheners Ryan Murphy.

As mookie pointed out, this is a big year for the arena as far as the team needing to do well. A long playoff run and (I hate to say it and jinx us) a possible OHL championship would do wonders for getting the public fence-sitters on board with going for a new rink.
